I recently had the pleasure of having Windy City Glam do my bridal parties makeup for my wedding and I couldn't be happier with the results. Upon booking Windy City Glam, I also had the pleasure of being in contact with Catherine the founder who was always so accessible, kind, and professional. She set me up with a trial with Celeste prior to my wedding and she and Celeste took detailed notes about my vision for my wedding day look. I appreciate that they were both very receptive to feedback which made me feel heard, felt, and seen as a bride. You can tell Catherine/Windy City glam care deeply about their brides and desired wedding day looks.

Beyond the trial Catherine and Celeste even gave me recs on lashes to play around with wearing since I was so new to them! I thought I had a lash allergy and Catherine suggested we do a little test on my skin. It was at that point that I learned it was lash glue I was allergic to and not lashes! They made sure to have special non-adhesive glue for me on my wedding day and I was so happy to wear lashes which heightened my look! It is the care and attention such as that, which made Windy City Glam such a joy to work with.

Our makeup artist Celeste, did an incredible job on my bridesmaids, mother, and my make up. Celeste perfectly enhanced our natural diverse beauty while ensuring each look was timeless and elegant. She was so kind and patient and I could not have asked for a better artist to work with on a wedding day which can feel a bit nerve wracking. I felt myself and my party were in really good hands the entire time which was such a gift. Celeste really made sure to check in with all of us as she was doing our makeup to make sure it was exactly what we wanted.

Windy City Glam go above and beyond to share skin care tips to look your best, kindly remind brides and bridesmaids the reality of choosing inspiration pics that looks like us, and made sure the day of the Wedding that we all looked exactly as we wanted. I was so fortunate to have found Windy City Glam in the time crunch I was in. I was a month out from my wedding date, and I had not found a hair or make up team. In comes Windy City Glam to save the day! I was thankful that they provided both services, and it was super important to me that they worked with brides who had darker/tanner skin tones. The team was super communicative through the whole process. Once I reached out, Cat set up a one-on-one call, so we could see if we were a good fit for each other. It helped her get a better idea of my style and for Cat to give me an idea of their style. Cat listened attentively and reassured me that they wanted to make this process as easy and enjoyable as they could.

On the trial day, my makeup artist and hair stylist was Alexa. I do not wear make up often or know a lot about make up, but Alexa helped me feel confident and beautiful. She carefully listened to what I envisioned and offered suggestions when I was unsure. I LOVED my look on the trial day and got so many compliments from my friends and family.

The team that came out on the wedding day was so professional, patient, and fun! We had Alexa, Kesha and Ayna. There was a slight issue with the hotel that caused us to not start on time, but the team was able to quickly set up and get started. Alexa, once again being a rockstar, was super patient with my mom as she was being very particular with her makeup requests. You can tell the team was very experienced because they were able to work with hair of all different textures, lengths, and thickness and varying skin tones. The one thing that did surprise me a little was that it was the same price for all the hair styles regardless of length. That can be beneficial if you have a bridal party with exceptionally long & thick hair, but I had 2 with very short pixie cut hairstyles. Everyone in the bridal party LOVED their hair and makeup, and I would definitely use Windy City Glam again for any future special events. Thank you so much for helping make my wedding day special!

I discovered Cat/windycityglam through Reddit, The Knot and Instagram, and I felt confident choosing her for my wedding glam thanks to the consistently glowing reviews on social media and Google, along with her impressively extensive and actively updated portfolio. Still, I was nervous—past professional makeup experiences often left me feeling unlike myself, so hiring an artist was one of the more daunting parts of wedding planning.

Cat completely changed that for me with her thoughtful communication leading up to the wedding, during the trial, and on the wedding day itself. The trial set clear expectations, gave us the chance to discuss my comfort levels and preferences, and allowed Cat to really get to know my features. She took meticulous notes, photos, and videos to ensure every angle and lighting were considered. On the wedding day, she refined the look slightly from the trial, and the result was even better than I imagined. For reference, I scheduled my trial the same week as the wedding, which I highly recommend—it kept details fresh for both Cat and me and minimized variables.

Cat and her hairstylist arrived at our hotel suite at 7 a.m., and the morning flew by. Cat was warm, conversational, and attentive—always checking in and inviting me to share input, which made me feel part of the process. My makeup held up flawlessly through happy tears, hugs, dancing, and plenty of sweating, with just one lipstick touch-up before the ceremony. I felt radiant, confident, and—most importantly—like myself.

She also styled my hair beautifully into a low bun, even teaching my sister how to place and remove my veil, and secured it so well that it stayed perfect all night despite all the movement.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Cat to my family, friends, and especially Asian brides who may be hesitant about professional makeup. She made me feel truly beautiful on one of the most important days of my life, and I already look forward to booking her again for future special occasions. Go Cat!
