I know this is old news however, when I wrote this review the owner somehow had a way of removing or disabling the text so I had to rewrite it after I discovered it 3 years later... I bought cards from this place almost 3 years ago and it was about five different card sets from five different eras. When I open them up there wasn't even so much as a holographic inside them five different sets and not even one holographic. I felt like these were light weighted packs that were sold as untampered straight out of a box. But was clearly filtered packs left over from a number of booster boxes that had all the heavy packs taken out of it. With no chance of getting a holographic. I do feel like this is wrong to encourage kids to attempt to break a losing streak by buying more cards hoping to get that one good one. It is literally gambling targeted towards children and I...

I come here every so often and they always outshine the other shops I have been to with great service. They try their best to make you happy with what you are getting. Very easy and fun to talk to. I found the price to be pretty fair. They have a shop to run and prices comparing the prices from TCG it wasn't that different. I bought the new OP-12 booster from both them and Hero's corner and I paid about the same price. I will say they are much easier to talk to. I don't mind spending an extra 3-4$ supporting a local business that puts in effort so that I enjoy my purchase.

The very first week I got into collecting sports cards I went into this store and asked why a pack of 12 nba cards from a hobby box cost more than a blaster box of the same cards. The store owner responded that she was "So sick of explaining the difference between hobby and retail to people who didn't know what they were doing". I bought a prizm blaster box just to be nice and never went back in. In the year since I have spent literally thousands of dollars on sports cards, hobby and retai, But I've never been back to Pilands. Just because your business is small doesn't excuse you from providing good or even passable customer service. There are other small businesses out there that try harder and deserve your money more....
