If youāre planning to visit this Spencerās, make sure to leave your friends, personality, and sense of logic at the door because apparently, being in a group is deeply offensive to the staff here. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of being turned away at the door of Spencerās because, get this: we were a group. Not a rowdy crowd, not a flash mob⦠just a few friends wanting to buy a game. But alas, apparently, existing in a group is grounds for denial of entry now. Who knew? So we stepped to the side, trying to figure out our next move because we really didnāt want to drive somewhere else. I then went in solo to ask very politely if maybe two of us could enter instead of the whole crew. The answer? A hard no. Not even two. Why? Because āitās a small store.ā Ah yes, the sacred square footage rule. Except plot twist! There were already two people shopping together inside. Must be some kind of VIP double-entry pass we didnāt know about. Still trying to be respectful, we waited outside from afar. When that pair left, two of my friends tried to go in and boom, rejected again. One was instantly told to leave. The other wasnāt even allowed to speak before being shut down. Customer service? It's more like customer silencing. After we stood off to the side (not blocking anything, just being quietly disappointed), we watched another pair go in. And then...wait for it: a group of three! No problem, no attitude, no exile for them. Just us, apparently. Lucky us! So either the āgroupā policy is selectively enforced, or we were unknowingly cast as villains in Spencerās newest security drama. Again, we came to buy a game, not play one called āGuess the Rules." So to recap: groups = bad (unless you're not our group), asking questions = unwelcome, and consistency = absolutely optional. If youāre looking for a place to spend your money and be treated like an inconvenience for showing up, this is your spot. Otherwise, just go somewhere else where customers are treated like, you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame in with 5 other people and was kicked out before even stepping in the door. They told us only one at a time, which was strange because the several times we have been here, they've always allowed groups of people to come in and shop together. We couldn't even go in pairs. Funnily, while we were outside contemplating, a pair of people walked out (CLEARLY knowing each other) yet we couldn't go in even in pairs (even asking if we could go one at a time in pairs). And as of writing this, ANOTHER COUPLE CAME OUT. They cut us off speaking when we were trying to reason with them for at least 2 of us to come in. Their reasoning was that the store was too small. Keep in mind, we're all young adults (from 19-26 years old). Loved going into this store with friends, kinda sucks we were just turned away at the door and couldn't make...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a horrible experience yesterday with my friends. We got discriminated against and Iām not even sure why. We havenāt even made it into the store yet when they were rude and told us to leave. We just wanted to buy a game for my friends birthday. They cut off my friend and didnāt let her talk. They had no respect for us. We saw multiple groups go in but for some reason with us it was a no. We even just tried to settle sending two of our friends in and just face time them to buy the game. They still didnāt let us in. Iāve been to plenty of Spencerās in my life and never has this...
