Pitaya — Local services in Cincinnati

I don't like bashing small businesses but this circumstance is special. I would never shop or recommend this store to anyone! The staff was incredibly rude and judging from previous reviews this is normal. I was doing a OTR tour with a friend who just moved back from LA. I wanted him to see how different the area is since he's been gone and how many small businesses are now occupying the area. I loved the dress that was in the window so decided to pop in to check it out. We were received with a cold welcome and I felt like we were being watched as if we were going to steal something. The staff member was even rude with the brief interaction I had with her! There were others in the store who were being helped and treated kindly! You never know who's walking into your space! awful customer service. The cashier was extremely rude. I didn’t feel like I was welcome there so 5 minutes after my transaction I went back to return my items. The cashier was rude once again. The owner was right there so I asked if I could speak to her. When I spoke to her and told her how I felt the transaction went she became extremely defensive and rude. I just told I didn’t feel like the cashier wanted my business and she specifically said “well we’ve never had a complaint about her before.” She also went on and on about how she is a manager and no one can tell her what to do. I live and work in OTR and love supporting other small businesses, so I went into Pitaya the other day to check it out. I received absolutely zero greeting or even acknowledgement from the four women chatting (couldn't tell who was a staff member). I like what Pitaya sells, but things are a) overpriced and b) crammed onto racks in a way that would make Forever 21 blush. There is a serious issue with how they train, or don't train, their staff -- zero customer service, not even an attempt at it. I wish them well but cannot imagine how they're staying open if this is how they treat their visitors :( Go to Kismet or Boutique Cala down the street and you'll receive WAY better customer service at the same or a lesser...
