I wouldn't give this place even one star if it were possible. Horrible customer service. My husband and I went there on Aug 4. We had a gift card with $10.00 on it. We wanted the two for $5 each, which you had to do on your phone in the Subway app. The gentleman behind the counter came out to show us how. When it came time to place the order, the gentleman took my phone and hit the button. Our gift card WAS NOT on the app and it charged my bank card, which brought my account negative as my deposit had not gone in as yet. That's a $30.00 charge for being negative. I was not about to do that... The gentleman did reverse the charge and we tried ordering again.... this time he messed with my phone again before I was done ordering, and I was charge again for $8.85. The gentleman went in and said he reversed that charge too.
Which brings me to today Aug 5. The first charge was credited to my account. The $8.85 was not. I called my bank to find out if it too was reversed. They told me no, it was not. So I called Subway. A female answered the phone. When I explained to her what had happened, she quickly cut me off, would not let me speak and told me there was nothing she could do about it. I asked for a manager and she said the owner, Darnell was not there. In the background I could hear the gentleman fro the day before say that I was never charged. This was total bull, I had brung up my bank app and showed him the day before that there was indeed a charge! This woman then proceeded to hang up on me! I called back and there was no answer. I called my bank and they assured me the charge was there and had not been reversed. I then blocked my number and called back. She answered the phone and I said "you are quite unprofessional to hang up on a customer!" She mutter something that I was rude to her.. no.. WHEN YOU TALK OVER SOMEONE AND DON'T LET THEM GET A WORD IN EDGEWISE, THAT'S RUDE... I asked her for the owners name and she said it was Darnell. I asked her to give him my number and have him call me, she took it down, but when I asked for HER name, she hung up on me AGAIN!
So this brings me to this post. I am now leaving this review and afterwards I am calling corporate. If this woman who hung up on me sees this, I don't know your name, honey, but I have record of the times I called and Subway will know who you are. So my recommendation to the public is, DON'T GO TO THIS PARTICULAR SUBWAY. RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A LYING EMPLOYEE TO SAY I WAS NEVER CHARGED WHEN I WAS. Read moreEdited to add: My bank is still going to seek the $8.85 charge because, both the $10 dollar charge and the 8.85 dollar charge got me two over draft fees of $30 a piece. They refunded the 10 dollar one when it was reversed, and they refunded the 8.85 as well, but in order to make that last one stick and not be recharged the 30 I have to let them recoup the 8.85.
I made a review before this one under the name Beware of the Shadows. I gave one star for the way the female employee treated me over the phone by hanging up. Everything in that review is true and correct.
The five stars in this review are for the owner, Donnell, who called and tried to rectify the situation. He gave me a free sub and a drink which I appreciated.
I went to the Subway in question, calling Donnell first as intructed. He in turn called in and told them I was coming. I went in with my husband and waited a bit since there were other customers. When it was my turn, I walked up to the female and said "Donnell called you about me" to which she replied a short "what do you want?" I ignored the shortness and ordered my sub. The male (who was there the day it happened and was the one who kicked it off by hitting the order button on my phone) put my order in the register, then handed me a cup and said shortly "you're all set." Not a friendly visit by any means. Funny thing is, all the female had to do was break the ice by saying "I was the one you spoke to over the phone, I apologize for hanging up on you.." and I would have erased the other one star review and just left this five star one up speaking for itself.
So Donnell is the only one who gets five stars. He is professional, courteous and really tried to handle the situation. He just needs some new courteous employees. Or maybe teach them a little courtesy goes a long way. Thank...
