The self checkouts are a joke, it's even worse during the busiest times, what's the point of having employees at the self checkouts for them to just stand there? What's the point of having self checkouts in the first place ? Even the registers that are actually attended by cashiers are left empty during the busiest times, leaving no choice but to use the self checkout. They really have it all backwards and the cashiers for any of the actual checkouts should be trained better at bagging groceries, the disabled/elderly customers should not have to struggle at the checkouts or be harassed or told they can't purchase certain items. Most times customers have to scan /bag their own stuff which almost makes it pointless to have employees at them, especially at the self checkouts where all they do is seemingly get paid to stand there and watch people suffer. The coolers are always breaking down. Some of the grocery items I've purchased from there were old and there were times in the mini produce section by the self checkout that some of it was actually moldy and had fruit flies in and around it. So gross. The only reason I even shop there at all is because it's the closest one available by bus and some of the items there are cheaper than the dollar stores. Sometimes the store itself smells bad. They don't seem to pay enough attention to the stock as they are constantly out of a lot of food items that are known to be big sellers. I'm not even sure if they rotate the non-perishable food items. I had bought a box of Suddenly Salad and when I made it , it tasted like the cardboard it was contained in and had to throw it out. I don't buy anything in boxes from there now as a result, depending on...
Read moreI really don't like this Walmart. It seems like items are moved around to different locations in the store every few months, and even the employees don't seem to know where items are. I recently was in a hurry and spent about 20 minutes waiting for a price check at the self-checkout... the employees are usually polite but clueless as to where items are located, but I really don't fault them. And the auto shop is ridiculous... I waited over 2 hours on 3 separate occasions for an oil change which I was promised would take about a half hour. I finally just took my car to different shop. Same with the hunting/fishing license counter... if you can even find someone working there it takes FOREVER to get a license. The worst is the young lady who typically works at the fabric-cutting counter. I hate to speak ill of anyone, but I can wait for several minutes to have a bolt of cloth cut, she refuses to make eye contact, can if she DOES choose to speak to you she's rather rude. Some employees are great though, but overall, I tend to avoid this place...
Read moreI do not work there so I don't feel I should have to check myself out. Many times 8 to 10 people in line to be checked out and only 1 employee checkout open. Whatever happened to customer service? On May 27, 2023 I went to the lawn and garden shop to purchase a lawn mower. The one I wanted was on the top shelf. I went up to the cashier to get assistance and there was another worker there and asked him for assistance as soon as he was finished, and he said as soon as he was finished with the other customer he would be there to help me. I waited for 15 minutes, then went back up to the cashier to see if the helper was done with the other customer and she said she would check and see. I waited another 10 minutes and then finally 3 workers showed up. If there was another store I could go to, I definitely would have. Very poor customer service. I really wish there was another store in the area I could go to, because I definitely would. I don't recommend shopping there unless you...
