Wegmans — Local services in City of Hornell

We have shopped at Wegmans for 50 plus years. What we love, fresh veggies and fruits. Great choices of cheese and delicate meat, olives, breads,, bake goods , and a variety of organic goods. A clean store and bathrooms are so appreciated !! Most of the time , great customer service. What is very disappointing to us and hundreds of other customers is not being able to find what we need because they move things around on a weekly basis 🤬. Yes you can ask for assistance or stop and look it up with the app. But most of us don't have a lot of extra time as it is. So maybe they could move things every 9 months !! Lastly, I truly wish they would allow our phone number to access all coupons that match up with our order instead of taking away even more of our valuable time because we have to look it up. Most times there are none unless you're willing to eat only coupon items that week. Before the app, your Wegmans card or phone number associated with your account automatically matched items . 😭 I can't believe I am the only person who does not have time to stop and look up digital coupons ahead or last minute. Don't get me wrong I know the app offers things like recipes, introduces new products. That's great!. But it is hard when you're short on time as is and then when in the store you decide to access the app but because of the internet dropping or Not working correctly slowing you down and all the other people waiting behind you to check out it is frustrating.

Ever since we have had to stop using plastic bags and have to buy paper bags, I cannot tell you how many times I have had bags rip before getting to my car! $0.05 thrown away and more time wasted because I have to stop and pick it up! How about double bagging for those who do not have their own bags with them every time they stop in the store.

I don't know if anyone at the corporate office reads these posts but if you do please, please, please, please ,please, reconsider allowing a customer's phone number that's attached to their Wegmans card automatically look up and activate any and all coupons associated with time of purchase . Please, please, double bag or sell us bags that won't rip! Lastly, either stop moving items so often or stop having cashiers ask us the annoying question " did you find everything ok today? " Seriously!!

Now for other suggestions that could be beneficial to health and wellness. Stress relief... 😁 Massage chairs, an area with classes offered related to health and wellness. I have several I could suggest but for now I would like to close by saying as frustrating as it is Thank You Wegmans staff for all you who are truly kind, caring and considerate. Yes Danny thank you to you and yours for offering such a great store. For all you donate in time, service and products to needy families and important organizations May less stress and healthier experiences for all Wegmans customers be your motto in the coming months.

I love Wegmans they always have so much and sale and I love it because between the sales and using my coupons I get great deals there A lot of times I can get my things for free or almost-free sometimes I can even make money in the items that I get I love their produce is always fresh and very very good you can go other places and it's not it doesn't taste as good as Wegmans produce their prices are very reasonable I think their prices are even better than Walmart's to be honest with you and like I said they double manufacturer coupons so they are even better than Walmart because I can get my personal items and so forth cheaper than I can get them at Walmart the employees are very nice and helpful and whatever you need so I love Wegmans it's...

Every Wegs is different....layouts, story "flow", variety of inventory, even what is available in ready-meals, deli, and bakery often reflects the "local" customer base. But the essential of Wegs remains very consistent so you can be assured of good quality, clean stores and efficient check out (assuming a particular store hasn't made the idiotic decision to add self checkout and eliminate human checkers). The Hornell Wegs gets a solid A- from me. I do wish they'd rethink the flow through the produce section-- it's often like navigating multiple one-way streets amidst drunk drivers. But if you're looking for a decent variety of food options, sprinkled with a little demolition derby while you get your kale and oranges, give this Hornell...
