DICK'S Sporting Goods — Local services in City of Ithaca

This was my second time in the new location. I was looking for a new pair of shoes that are comfy and good for working out. I didn't get his name but the associate who rang me out up front said he's from maybe Binghamton I can't remember. I wish I had gotten his name. I couldn't have asked for better he was absolutely amazing. The associate stood by me the whole time asked me questions to make sure I got the right pair of shoes. He also put through a pair of shoes on the handheld and they never showed up which he then went back and got them for me without making me wait for a long period of time. I had boots on which I had gotten to hot in so I asked him if I could walk out in the shoes the service was impeccable. He walked up to the register up front with me to make sure I got checked out in a timely manner. I really just want him to get this recognition so he knows how great his customer service is and he can go really far in retail with it. I will stop rambling on ! Thank you again the shoes are great and I will definitely be back. I was in there last night and no matter who I passed they all asked me if I needed any help finding anything. I would definitely recommend this location.. I will be returning. I was also able to use my $20 off coupon they scanned on my phone with NO issues....

Walked in, store is nice, new, fresh… But it’s largely an apparel and shoe store. They have a decent selection of golfing stuff, home training stuff… what they don’t have is true outdoor gear. Zero fishing, zero hunting, essentially zero camping. They have ONE kayak bolted to an end display that’s there purely to say ‘look at our online inventory and ship it to store’.

You’re a massive “sports store” located on arguably the BEST fishing lake in the state, and you have LITERALLY NOTHING boating or fishing related for sale?! What a shame…

Look, if you want outdoor apparel or shoes, it’s worth a visit. If you want anything remotely hunting, camping, fishing related… you know, actually outdoor activities, don’t bother. A complete disappointment as far as I’m concerned. I was legitimately out the door in 90 seconds, 2 stars is generous, this might as well...

The staff are attentive here and the employees are great in asking if you need any assistance. Its a shame how corporate ruined this place. They do not have anything for hunters or fishermen. If you want to buy overpriced branded clothes and shoes this is the place. Once where they had guns ammo and hunting supplies is now filled with hundreds of Stanley cups and Yeti coolers that occupy 1500sq ft of the stores corner. For all the hunters and fishermen that occupy the area of Ithaca and its surrounding towns everyone has made their way to Sportsmans Warehouse in Elmira for their needs. Its almost a shame this store is taking up retail space in the shopping center, maybe after them there will be a REAL sporting goods store that doesnt cater to...
