My friend and I were driving to Long Beach and had the last-minute idea of wanting to rent bikes to ride along the boardwalk. I was able to make a reservation on the website around a half hour before, and arranged a pick-up time and place within a few minutes. The return process was very simple too—you can drop your bikes off anywhere within Long Beach, so once we were done, we gave Long Beach Board Rentals a text of where we left the bikes, and that was it!

The texting communication made things extremely convenient. I even had a little mishaps of getting one of my pant legs trapped inside the bike, and they were able to help me sort that out shortly after I sent a text.

As a former resident of LB I know how important it is to have a bike to get around especially in the summer when parking is difficult. The bikes were delivered directly to the hotel with locks and combinations. Solid 1 speed bikes (we rented 2) with back pedal brakes. We started with 3 day rental but then extended for the entire trip (9 days). At the end of the trip we locked the bikes to the rail on the boardwalk and sent a text with photo for pickup.
