Lincoln Beach — Attraction in City of Long Beach

Friendly lifeguards. Wish they didn't have to force people to leave the water between 5:45-6:00pm beefsteak their management makes them do so for liability reasons before they knock off duty. We arrived at 5:45pm so as soon as i got in the water and started body surfing they told everyone to get out, so I asked a local and they said you have to wait until they leave at 6pm before you can go on again, so annoying, but at least it has lifeguards to provide advice and provide safety. The lifeguard said the area used to be dangerous many years ago but that it has improved. I think the area has a huge amount of potential to improve aethetically, as it looks a bit rundown like beaches south of Lisbon in Portugal. Very big beach, it has soft sand. I don't know about the water. However, there are rocks on the side so you can walk on it for a nicer view. I went for the sunrise and there wasn't a lot of people....
