I came to REOC today because I needed some info. I had to retake the reading portion of the TABE. I took it. Passed it. Never heard anything back. So I came there to see when the phlebotomy classes started. I put in time to study, handed in all my paperwork beforehand. They tell me that I had to be placed on a waiting list. When I handed in everything, the lady never said the classes were on a forst come, forst serve basis. The phlebotomy instructor emailed me personally to let me know I can retest. NOT ONCE DID SHE SAY THAT THE UPCOMING PHLEBOTOMY CLASSES WERE FULL. I left my job just so I could take these classes. All they told me was that they were "sorry". The manager of the programs was no help. They treated me like I was a getting on their nerves. They wouldn't accommodate me on any way possible. I been to REOC twice and never have I ever dealt with such complications. They said the classes have been filled up simce December. The instructor emailed me December 17, 2024. Never mentioned that I had to be placed on a waiting list. I had to drive there just be told all of this when i shouldve been told at the moment when I received the email from the phlebotomy instructor. There is no communication at all. And they need to do better providing everyone with the proper information. I was completely misinformed and left out. They really left me heart broken and discouraged. The manager said she'll email me as soon as something comes up for the next classes. I don't even trust that she'll do that due to the lack of communication. Sje said that the next classes start in 6 months....that's in July. Then proceeds to say classes don't start in July. Like C'MON! When I asked for a print out of everything she just said to go on the website. She goes on yhe website just to tell me the fall schedule hasn't been posted. I miss the old REOC when the administration...
Read moreI began to try to register with the Google IT specialist course that is set to start this coming up Monday, January 16, 2024. I went through the entire process of taking the TABE test, And was told at that time that I would hear something about a week later. I heard nothing until January 11, only after multiple multiple attempts to call them and get information. They finally sent me a schedule that included all of my login information and password for the different programs, when I tried to use them, nothing worked. I called the IT helpdesk, and they told me that “ You can’t login until you pay the fee”. Nobody had told me anything about any fees, and the IT specialist I spoke with nothing about how much the fee would be. They just keep information to themselves until the very last minute I guess, this is completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and absolute robbery that they do it this way. There are poor people that are trying to work and create other opportunities for themselves, and this is supposed to be something that’s supposed to help, it’s a lie. This is just another institution of robbery. Online it states that REOC has Saturday hours, and that they were open, but when I tried to call, they were closed. No surprise there. I don’t recommend anybody go to this or even bother with it. At this point, I’m about ready to throw my hands up and say the...
Read moreI wouldn’t recommend to anyone trying to better their lives. They promise you a job at the end of your course and then claim that there are no jobs available. The teachers use their time to threaten you and accuse you of talking, not paying attention or just deviant behavior while you sit their silently and then all faculty staff say “well it’s a free program” they also threaten to remove you from class and tell you to “get out” if you have questions or you bring up things that you’ve learned before that challenge what they’re teaching and ask for clarification. There was a teacher who would actively blame me for the things the girl next to me did. If she was speaking in class, eating or even sleeping she would accuse me of being the one talking or the one that was influencing this grown girl to behave the way she did. While I sat there quietly and did my work. Don’t do it if you have anxiety or depression cause this place will push you to kill yourself having to survive here. They also remind you that you’re a charity case that they have blessed with the right to...
