Ill admit, with everything going on with COVID, I was very nervous with what to expect with going to get my hair done but when I showed up to the salon, I was shocked and taken back. The way the owner is handling everything with COVID is extremely professional and the correct way. I felt so safe and comfortable! As soon as you get there you have to sign a form, and sanitized your hands, then while waiting outside, one of the girls comes out to you to take your temp. The whole time I was there, masks were worn, distance was maintained and the way they fixed the salon up, it was all safe and clean. I also was VERY happy and pleased with the service here at Reveal studio rye. The owner and everyone who works there were very professional but also made me feel so welcomed. They talk to you and listen about what you want while giving you advice. Not to mention how AMAZING my hair looks!! The cut and color were definitely the best I’ve ever gotten! I’ve recently relocated to Rye from Manhattan and was looking for a local salon. After telling the receptionist that I wore my hair short (Reveals IG page shows only long haired clients) and being reassured that they do in fact do short cuts, I booked in for a Saturday 3:45 PM appointment with the owner of the salon. The day of my appointment the salon called me and asked me to come in at 3:00 PM, 45 minutes early, to which I obliged. I arrived and sat for the consultation where the owner seemed incapable of taking my personal style into consideration and suggested several times that I should grow my bangs out. She appeared oblivious to any vibe that was not her own. She then asked me to wait while she took another client and did a men’s haircut (remember I was asked to come in 45 minutes early). The worst place ever and the owner completely has no skills whatsoever how to treat blond hair! My daughter came in wanting highlights, the owner was the one doing her hair. She put the foils in and didn’t come to check on her. After 40 min my daughter asked what’s going on and that they have been on her hair for a long time. She was doing another customer and told my daughter to wait. After another 10 min her scalp started to burn. She forced them to take the foils off. With every foil they pulled out, half of her hair fell out. Everytime she brushed my daughter’s hair, hair would come out. She completely ruined her hair. She charged 600 dollars for this absolutely horrible service. I wish I was there with my daughter and could protect her from such unprofessional people.
