Hannaford — Local services in City of Saratoga Springs

Update: they've upped their game and are doing really well. They stock did you can't get other places.

I've had to change my opinion of this store in the past few months. They are sorely lacking when it comes to keeping up with online ordering and delivery. On every occasion that we've placed an order there has been a mistake in our order. Nearly every time we've ordered deli meat to be shaved, it has come thick. The meat went in the garbage because it wasn't what we needed and we weren't allowed to return it. They have tried to substitute meat that costs four times as much as what we ordered. They won't accept returns due to Coronavirus but have no effective way of ensuring that customers get what they need and paid for. I used to like Hannaford but it’s gone downhill significantly. One thing I couldn’t help but notice recently (and is the focus of my review) is that I am highly confused why they blocked out parking spots for “pregnant women.” This is condescending. We are not disabled when we are pregnant. Hannaford is making pregnant women out to be martyrs. Being pregnant is not a burden. Being pregnant doesn’t mean we can’t walk. In fact walking while pregnant is healthy. This was a really odd and inappropriate choice on behalf of whoever approved this. I went back to Hannaford today and saw the signs removed thankfully. I went to Hannaford to pick up some flowers this morning and it was a very seamless experience! We got a very nice set of purple and pink flowers in a bouquet and was even greeted in the store by an employee who was sorting the flowers. She was wishing everyone a happy Easter. I know that not everybody celebrates the holiday, but it certainly made the experience feel better compared to other grocery chains I have had the experience of shopping at. I know this isn’t a reoccurring part in the Hannaford’s supermarket on a daily or weekly basis, so I won’t be using that as a primary basis for rating this location. But from a flowers perspective?
