Dining room was so busy and loud and filled with kids it was like we were at Chucky Cheese. There was french fries (some partly mushed in the carpet) all over the dining room floor. We had to sit at the bar booth. Which we actually were thrilled about until we got there. We sat for over 10 minutes (before our waitress decided to mosey on over and stop gossiping with the other waitresses) to come over to take a drink order! She wrote down our burger lettuce wrap and one off the menu specility burger order and their temperatures (we thought). I'd rather waitstaff write down orders any day over trying to remember and doing it incorrectly. When our food came she got both orders completely wrong (but just noticed the one obvious at first). The waitress had to take one burger that came with a bun and put into the requested lettuce wrap. I sat and patiently waited not touching my food in respect of my friend not having her food yet. Working in the resturant business for 10 years and customer service for 20. I thought this transition would only take a minute or two (knowing that food that is already out, that comes back- takes precedence over food that is being worked on) as you want your whole table to be eating at the same time. Well it's not that way here. Another 10 minutes passes by, my food is now cold but I don't want to complain because i'm hungry. I take one bite into my cold burger and it isn't the speciality burger I asked for, it has no bacon and it wasn't med/rare like she was supposed to write down- it was burnt. So now my dinner had to go back. We were starving and now I had to wait another 15 minutes more for my new burger to come out. I insisted that my friend not hesitate to eat without me... This is a over rated expensive Burger King. This place is full of novice workers and when you pay for a premium burger, you're expecting it to be perfect. Because if we wanted McDonalds we would have went there and saved a...
Read moreI know Covid has messed things up but I don't understand why this location is so consistently short staffed. I've been a few times, waited 20 minutes, and got seated to find the place nearly empty.
That aside, today wasn't a good visit. In fact, the things piled together will make this location one I'll never visit again.
Here's the list: waited 20 minutes, the place is empty, staff is frazzled. We were seated in a booth that had a huge rip in the upholstery... I'd guess 7 inches of exposed cushion. There's a dozen other booths we could have be seated in... why continue to use the gross ripped one? Additionally, the cushions were overall very dirty. Oddly, I did take a pic of the seat bc my husband on the other side of the booth didn't believe me that it was ripped. So, I took a pic to show him but didn't delete it.
Our waitress was nice and efficient, we've had her before and I appreciate her no nonsense attitude. She was doing the best she could and I appreciate that.
We ordered an appetizer-- pretzel nuggets-- when they were placed in front of us, I immediately noticed the plastic disposable cheese container had dry crusty cheese on the outside and bottom. It was oddly shaped. It either indicated that it was reused from a previous guest or the kitchen is filthy. At the completion of my meal, I even took the time to crack both disposable sauce containers so they couldn't be reused. I wish I took a photo bc it was pretty unappealing.
My son's macaroni and cheese was pretty much soup. He didn't mind but I thought it odd and it wasn't very hot.
Something was up with my husband's burger but he won't tell me what. I know he didn't finish it. I know the onions were weird but there was something else he won't tell me.
Anyways, I've been to this location before but this visit was such a bummer that we won't be...
Read moreIt has been over six months since we have went to Red Robin off Exit 15 in Saratoga NY. Restaurant is not that old and has terrible service. Food is always good, but the service is awful. Well tonight, grandson wanted to go there and like I said it's been awhile so we went. Stood in line with two parties ahead of us with no hostess in site for 12 minutes. My daughter didn't want me to go look for anyone because she doesn't want to cause trouble... mind you, at least three severest looked at all 15 people standing in door waiting for the missing hostess. Nothing!! We finally get sat, no apology at all for why he wasn't there. We wait for about 8 minutes and finally a server comes and apologies for her wait, keep in mind she looked at us at least four times passing by with no contact. Half the drinks come out and had to wait on others, bar had to make those and really wasn't that busy so don't know why that took so long. Food was a tad slow but amazing. Refills again half then and half later?? All that was said was bar is making. Waitress was fine besides not acknowledging us the first time she made eye contact... so again, food great and at least three people not caring who stayed or left. I could have overlooked some if they were slammed, but they weren't. I chalk this up to poor management and a year ago it supposedly changed because of bad service. Red Robin is a good family, good food, good priced place to go eat, why is the company not doing something to fix a ongoing problem? P.S. floor was very dirty by door and hostess stand as well. In need of...
