Today was my 2nd x that I have visited this site on Central Avenue. I love buying new glasses here. I was browsing through the choices of frames when a male customer came in to inquire about the warranty on a pair of glasses he purchase less than 1 yr ago, he was merely trying to understand what was covered for his broken glasses. The young lady at the front was incredibly rude and used an aggressive towards the customer. Almost as if trying to make him sound stupid because he didn't understand her answer and asked a 2nd time for clarification. I tell you, I thought about walking out with no purchase because of how the receptionist was so rude and loud. I was upset. The way that poor man was treated was seriously disturbing to me. I did speak with one of the other young girls and expressed how unprofesional and alarming her colleague treated the customer who just was asking for clarification of his warranty. When the man left she said. "I was valedictorian for a reason". How did he not know how to read!!" These young ppl are out of this world when it comes to patience. They are so ride and obnoxious. And business owners should really pay attention to who they are hiring because that can destroy a business and hence why so many stores have closed down. Her name is Nadia. She was on her phone and perhaps was upset she was interupted from being on her personal cell phone. I hope the owner/manager takes time to train these college kids because no customer should be treated the was this young lady embarrased this poor guy OR at least have cameras on premise to see what goes on. UPDATE: Today I went to pick up my eye glasses 1/21/23 there were many customers who came in after me and surprisingly they were all taken care of immediately. The staff that was working today looked professional and def were very professional, courteous and caring. The manager was also there. It felt great to go into 1of my favorite stores and feel welcomed. Today this dif staff was truly what most customers, I am sure, prefer to be assisted by. Calling prior to my appointment the receptionist was informing and nice, as well as in person she was really nice to talk to. In the pre test room, she was as well very nice and quick with the machine. The eye doctor was also a pleasure to meet with, as a young adult this was my first time setting my own appointment and going by myself and the doctor informed and went into depth with any question that I had. He also referred me to a specialist for an issue I have with one of my eyes Incase I wanted to seek further information and testing on it. He was very nice and easy to have a conversation with, quick with the tests too! The clerk I seen to pick out my frames and pay with is the only thing I could complain a little bit about. As I was picking out frames, in which I found one I liked, he gave his opinion that it "didn't fit my face, and they made it look bigger" which is offensive since I'm picking out glasses IM paying out of pocket for. I still got the pair because it's what I personally liked, after he told me multiple times he isn't a fan of the frames I chose. But he was informative on my questions about the prices. I do wish someone would have gone over the prices of the glasses that are advertised as 2 pair for $69.95 BEFORE I looked around. I didn't understand why my total was $209 until I was told that it only applies to the frames with a blue tag. Being told that beforehand would have saved me time and money since I'm paying out of pocket and going here specifically because it was affordable. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Americaās best on May 28, 2024 for the first time. I had a very basic eye exam. I paid $139 which I was told was for the exam and their club which would give me 10% off for three years.
On that day, they ordered contact lenses for me to sample. I also looked around for eyeglasses and I was displeased with the selection so I did not pick any out on that date.
After numerous phone calls, my contacts finally arrived in July⦠mid July that is. I want to add that when they did arrive I never received a phone call. I only knew they arrived because I called them.
When I went to pick them up, I asked if I could use my current frame, because I wasnāt happy with the selection they had and I was advised I could not use them because I didnāt purchase them at Americaās best. Well, of course I didnāt because Americaās best, definitely doesnāt carry Burberry frames.
So itās six weeks later I have a membership that Iāll never use. I have a sample of one day use contact lenses and no current eyeglasses. I now have to set up an appointment elsewhere to get a proper examination, eyeglasses, and contact lenses.
I just canāt figure out who deemed them Americaās best because they are by far the worst Iāve ever experienced. I gave one star because itās the only way you can submit a review, but I absolutely give them zero stars.
That was my experience, I do not recommend. In fact I should get a full refund⦠they didnāt even offer $20 back although I waited 6 weeks for sample contact lenses!!
