Star Furniture and Mattress — Local services in Clarksburg

My husband Robert and I had a wonderful experience at Star Furniture in Clarksburg, WV. A nice young man by the name of Elijah Richards came straight to us as we were checking out a sectional. He was explaining how long it might take to receive the sectional etc. He than let us browse around the store on our own to check everything out and he let us just look at what we wanted to look at for a few minutes, Elijah than came to us after a few minutes and was explaining warranties etc on certain sectionals and how things worked etc. We then wanted to go look at beds, so up stairs we went and Elijah went with us and let us look through the beds sets, mattresses etc. He than came to us and we started talking about mattresses and he showed us a Tempur Pedic that he thought we might be interested in, we checked it out, he explained everything thing to us and our options etc. He was very informative, we decided on the mattress and it's frame etc., then he walked with us and we showed him the two bedroom suites that we were interested in and he worked up prices etc, we picked everything out we needed and wanted and then we told him about the sectional that we wanted and he went over it with us, very informative as warranties, pricing, delivery, how things worked on the sectional with the recliners etc. We probably would have not made a buy the other day, 11/13/2020 Friday, if it hadn't been for Elijah. He wasn't pushy he let us do things on our own and he just helped and informed us greatly. He was such a Great Help. My husband and I feel that Elijah is a great help with the customers and your store. He should be commended for the great help that he does and for his wonderful personality, etc. We thank you Elijah so much for your help and we will ever be greatful for your friendliness and knowing when to let us look on our own and when we needed your help. What an asset Elijah is to your company. I think that if it hadn't been for Elijah we would have not made a buy that day or we would have not bought everything that we did. I would not recommend star furniture to anyone! My family and I went in one afternoon (3/22/22) nobody else in the store and 3 people standing at the center counter. We were able to make an entire walk around the store with nobody speaking to us or asking if we needed help. I did not see what I was looking for so I asked the girl at the counter if someone could please help us. Another older lady turned around and said yeah I guess I’m the only one here and I was on the phone… mind you 2 other people were also at the counter. So she walks over with an attitude and said what are you looking for…? I say well I’m looking for a couch, love seat and a recliner preferably brown/tan in color. She instantly said we don’t have sets in brown…. I said so nothing in your store comes in brown? So then she says we’ll we have a few there’s one (there, there, and there) pointing. She said walk around and if you have any questions let me know… so we walked around again, aggravated at this point she then sees us walking toward the door and says sorry I don’t think we have anything.. I said well you wouldn’t know because you didn’t look, but it’s fine I’ll go somewhere they are nice. Walked into Ashley furniture, was greeted at the door. Adam took me to all the options in what I was looking for and what could be ordered in brown. Needless to say don’t waste your time here. Go to Ashley where you will get great customer service! Buying furniture can be frustrating, finding just the right fit with style and comfort is not an easy task. That being said our experience at Star Furniture was quite wonderful, thanks in part to a very nice young man named Elijah Richards. As we entered the store Elijah greeted us with a big smile and gave us a quick explanation of store layout and delivery times. Then let us browse at our own pace. My Mother is 82 and was shopping for a loveseat and chair. We found just what we were looking for, however it was in a complete living room suite. Not sure if we could buy just the 2 pieces, Elijah to the rescue, with a little finagling on his part not only did we get the loveseat and reclining chair but a very nice discount to which we added a coffee table. The best part aside from the military discount (very much appreciated) is that they had the furniture in stock so we could have it delivered within the week.
