The staff here are the most genuine and sincere people in the business of providing a service to the public. The Chopping Block, down the road from Clarksville Jewelers, is the only place that could compare. Within ten minutes of walking through the door the person-to-person relationship and the professional-to-customer trust had been established. Yes, I will recommend Clarksville Jewelers. Here's why.
Up front: I do not frequent jewelry stores. I do not own jewelry, with the exception of two Ball watches. My wife does have a hand full of nice pieces, but has been fortunate to not require a jeweler's services.
Now, the Ball watches. Very nice watches that are in the mid-range of "expensive" watches. The two that I have are both personalized and carry enormous sentimental value. My Roadmaster Rescue arrived a month ago. A very beefy, manly timepiece, it was all over my wrist and needed a bracelet adjustment. I did not want to ship to any of the 3-4 Ball AD in the states and Switzerland was out of the question. YouTube and the interwebs convinced me that a $20 toolkit and a few videos could do the trick. Nope.
I did my research and found a handful of jewelers that could possibly take care of my watch band needs. Most were in, or around, Nashville, with cool national known names. One was a big-deal service center. Since Clarksville Jewelers is only 3 miles away, I checked their reviews and wow. Nothing but good stuff!
A.J. graciously pointed out that "someone" had attempted to adjust the bracelet with some damage to the screw pin. I confessed and he spent about 6-8 minutes fixing the bracelet. Then, he sat down and discussed what he did and why. We chatted about the Ball Watch Company, their history, and their quality. By the time we were finished I had handed over my 2017 Ball that I am convinced that I over wound! The bracelet adjustment (with clean-up of my attempt) was incredibly affordable and the quote for the pending repair of the older Ball was breath of fresh air. A.J. and Kristy, thank you for restoring my faith in people! Won't be taking my watches...
Read moreIt goes a long way to me when a person takes the time to try and make things right. Initially I wrote a scathingly negative review of Clarksville Jewelers (see below), which is why I was shocked when Andrew called me within two hours of my post to discuss what went wrong. That kind of professionalism and courtesy is sorely lacking these days, so it was nice to see it in action. Andrew listened to my complaint, offered a resolution so that it wouldn’t happen in the future, and even offered to clean my watch free of charge. When I picked up my watch, it was Andrew who met me at the counter and, once again, apologized and reassured that there would be better communications with customers in future settings. He even threw in two coupon chips, which I wasn’t expecting at all! A good company isn’t one that’s perfect; rather, it’s one that is willing to listen and care for their customers as best they can. Clarksville Jewelers is such a place, and I will definitely be back!

Horrible experience. They kept my watch for over a year, long before this pandemic started. This would have been fine, except I never received an update throughout that year. I would call them, was told that someone would call me with an update, then nothing. I finally picked up my repaired watch today and it was filthy. I asked about a cleaning, but was told they would only do it for an additional fee. Are you kidding me? You keep my watch for a year, never give a courtesy call with an update as promised, return it completely dirty, then refuse to clean it unless I give you more of my money?! The lady at the front is very sweet and professional who tried her best to help me, but the other workers are rude and don’t seem to care about their customers. I’m all about supporting local businesses, but I’m sorely disappointed in the lack of professionalism, respect, and common courtesy...
Read moreIn July I called the shop to see about getting my antique grandfather clock repaired, the young lady made me an appointment for the 19th of 22 July at 8:30 in the morning which was fine and when he showed he said " it may not be working now but it will be working by the time I leave", just like its been doing for months it worked for a few minutes 30 minutes give or take. He had given us his personal cell phone number but we didn't use that right off, called the shop till told the young lady the clock is still not working she said that she would see what she could do and made an appointment for the 9th of August Drew never showed up so I called the girl back the appointment was at 8:30 in the morning I called her back right around noon she said let me call and see where he's at so I was on hold she came back she said he should be there in about an hour, I said okay, he did not show up so I waited and I don't know if it was a day or two but I called his cell phone and he said "I'll be there in an hour", he still hasn't shown up and here it is the 1st of September 22 I'm very disappointed. Not only will I not call them back I will not recommend them for anything if you say you're going to fix my clock I want my clock fixed don't say you can fix something that you cannot repair. It's too bad you have to give them at least one star, they wouldn't get any if I...
