The store is very nice looking, and has a lot of great items, many of them being reasonably priced. Unfortunately, there are too many negatives for me to want to return. The store is not very accessible. Many of the aisles and very narrow, and have objects for sale in the way. This made it impossible for me to navigate the store easily with my walker. The woman who was working today was not at all pleasant or welcoming, to the point where she was rude. She was on the phone almost the entire hour I was in the store, which made it difficult to shop, when several items did not have price tags; so I had to keep asking questions. Every time I'd ask her something, I felt like I was bothering her, since she was on her phone, and had a lousy attitude. I was also surprised at the condition of many of the items in the store. Several of their wooden charcuterie boards were in desperate need of oil, to the point that the wood was splitting, and pieces were falling off. Many of the picture frames were split at the joints, and the fold out props on the back were damaged or broken. Several of the tea towels I looked at had snags and stains. I was also surprised at how poorly the woman bagged my items when I checked out. She put everything in the same paper bag, despite me buying a large, fragile glass item. When I requested a bag for my charcuterie board, she said they don't have one it would fit in. All she had to do was give me a separate bag. Overall I was very disappointed in the customer service, accessibility, and the quality of many of the items, given their price point. There are many similar stores in the area with equally nice items, and much better customer service, which makes me unlikely to bother...
Read moreI bought a pair of earrings and two bracelets. I gave one of the bracelets as a gift and about an hour after wearing it, it broke. I came back to the store and wanted a refund as well as returning the other one because I was concerned of that breaking as well and she reminded me that there was no returns or exchanges. I understood that, but I said this is broken. She explained to me that no other customer has had this problem, and the second lady behind the counter said they would have to contact the vendor, explaining how inconvenient that would be for them. I told them that is the cost of business. She asked if I could look around and would exchange it and I didn’t find anything. She ended up refunding me for the broken one and the similar one. I just really didn’t like how they approached the situation. I understand the no refunds or exchanges but if something is broken and I bring it in a day or two later, why are you giving me a hard time about what inconvenience it is for you? Stand behind your products and don’t purchase cheap jewelry. Complain to the vendor!. I would rather go across the street to Leon and Lulu, pay more but receive exceptional customer service. They have...
Read moreThis is probably one of my most favorite stores in Clawson. It has a nice and frequently updated selection of antique items, and home decor. I have been there many many times and often find something great each visit.
The prices are very reasonable. The owner is very nice and friendly. I would say the lady that works on Sundays isn't the friendliest but that's alright as I typically don't need much help.
I highly recommend stopping in here if you're looking for antiques or just general design items for your home. Also great for...
