54 West — Restaurant in Clawson

Flew in from Arizona to visit with a few friends and we decided to give 54 West a chance. Came in last night and we were pretty worried for it being a Saturday night but we loved the vibes and decided to give it a try even though we might have to wait for a table. Went into Mojave Cantina to meet with a host and was greeted with such positive vibes and she took our name and we waited outside. Thanks to luck (and a party cancellation), we were able to be seated within 15 minutes. We stuck with apps and margaritas and they definitely did not disappoint. I tried their new Mai Tia specialty drink and it was TO DIE FOR. So yummy and the perfect amount of sweetness. One of my friends ordered a Blood Orange Martini and the sweetness of the Martini was just perfect. Super simple recipe but we couldn’t help but order more. We also did a carafe of Black Berry Sangria. So delicious and flavorful we were so happy and satisfied coming to 54 West. Our server, Katlynn was so sweet and attending she made us feel at home there. We sat near the bar and the bartender Brent made the atmosphere so comforting and the music choice was amazing and gave such upbeat vibes. Sad we don’t have a restaurant like this close to us back home! 54 West will definitely we a stop next time we come to Michigan. Amazing service and amazing vibes, can’t wait...

We had a Birthday Party for our 84 Year Old Friend on Thursday, September 2nd at 54 West. The 5 of us sat in a comfortable outside area that made it easy for us to talk and enjoy the Beautiful Atmosphere! We had some Guacamole, Queso, Chips and Salsa for our Appetizer, which we all loved! Our Margarita's, Bloody Mary's, and Paloma's were Top Notch! The Entrées we ordered included Fajitas, Chimichanga's, Burrito's, and even a Vegan Dish! Our Friends stated that they haven't had Mexican Food this good 😋 in Years! When it came time to Sing Happy Birthday to our Friend, Brent our Waiter and Bartender, brought out this Beautiful and Delicious Fried Ice Cream Dessert!! Not only our Table and Brent sang Happy Birthday to Dave, but all the Tables around us did as well!! It was sooo fun, and Dave really got a kick out of it!! Also, the Mural being drawn and painted on the outside Wall of Mojave is Beautiful, which we found out that Crystal, the Manager of Mojave Designed and is Painting it herself!! 1st and foremost I would like to let everyone know I was once a waitress for many years and have the up most respect for people working in the industry......With that being said....I just had the worst experience from the bartenders right on down to the management at this establishment. Once my dear friend and I arrived we were not acknowledge for over 15 minutes....No water....No hello....Nothing.....We had to grab someone to place a drink order (and we were sitting right at the bar). The bartenders were very annoyed by us. We had to then ask for food menus and then flag someone down to order. Once we ordered​ we were then informed that they were out of CEASAR DRESSING, so my friend ordered the other salad on the menu.....To only discover that they were out of that dressing too. My friend asked for just the chicken kabob from her salad ( as she was starving). At this point the MANAGER came out and argued with my friend about her salad..... Refused to give her the chicken and stated " we will just get your bill". She didn't ever get any food and we...
