I want to protect others from having a horrible experience like I did two days ago. I was not going to say anything until I cut my eye taking my contacts out last night because my nail technician, the owner's sister, did a terrible job filing my nails. There is a long list of ways I was treated poorly. I paid for a pedicure but did not receive a soak or exfoliation. I left a photo a couple days ago of my pointer finger nail; it would not stop bleeding. The lady did not say a word about it; I had to bring it up. She just shrugged. I asked what their policy is when they make someone bleed that much. I asked if they gave gift cards or what. She said, "Did you already pay?" I said, "yes," and she said "Oh well." So I waited a few minutes and brought it up again. She said, "How about five dollars?" I was taken aback that she would be offering such a small gift card but said, "yes." Then she shocked me. She went to her purse and pulled out five one dollar bills. I was so surprised that I took them but then tried to give it back because it felt weird. She refused to take it back and I honestly didn't know how to handle such an odd situation. Not to mention, she put her mask on while doing my fake pedicure, but took it off proceeding to cough in my face while doing my manicure. I really felt like I was treated like trash. As I was leaving, a fellow customer asked to see my bleeding nail. She reminded me of the stories you see on the news of people getting serious infections from nail salons. I have been putting hydrogen peroxide on it three times a day. I definitely left much more stressed than when I walked in. Maybe a white wine would have helped, but I was never offered one as I watched others being offered. I understand that's maybe because I didn't request a speciality service, but it sure would have helped me tolerate such a stressful environment where I paid full price (minus 5...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy last service at polished was unbelievably bad. I called same day to see if my daughter and I could get our nails and pedicures done together. Pansey told me they did not have room for today. She could do one service for each of us but 30 min apart. I said I would check with my daughter and call back, but likely not, as we wanted to spend time together. We decided not to take it. I called back within a few minutes to tell them no we would choose another day to go it all together. The owner lily answered, she said hang on I think we can do both. She confirmed āyes, come at 6:00 and we can do both services for both of youā. I said thatās late are you sure?ā āYes, yesā she replied. We arrived at 6 I was taken first for my nails, on the opposite side of the room where my daughter sat. First thing I was asked by Linda, was āwhy you come this late? We want to go homeā I told her āyour boss told me to come at this time! I offered to come another day.ā Iāve BEEN a regular customer for over 1 year and I like to go to Polished for my nails. I always tip well. I offered to come another day but lily insisted we still come today. Mid way through my nails, I was moved to start my pedicure. My daughter had to wait a while before they started nails and she never got her pedicure. My nails got finished during my pedicure by Cat, as Linda complained that we were there too late and complained how tired she was. To top it all off, I left $30 tip, to be split evenly between the 3, on the receipt, I noticed that Cat only received $5 and change, I told Lilly thatās not what I wanted, she said the system automatically separates it by price of service , I said thatās not how I want it, I left $10 each, she said āitās ok Iāll fix it tomorrow ā Iām not sure if cat actually got her full tip. We left more stressed than we arrived. That was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFelt like having a self care moment so I decided to get a pedicure. I called only a few hours in advance to make an appointment for later that day, and they were able to take me. As soon as I walked in, the atmosphere was calming. The staff greeted me nicely, I told them I have an appointment. I usually get the cheapest pedicure, I got a āSpa Pedicureā ($50) because I wanted to treat myself. I picked my color and got seated in my massage chair immediately. Drinks are complimentary (see photo for menu)! Iām under 21 so I didnāt have any bubbly and opted for a bottle of water (was not Dasani, for any one who also hates Dasani). The service lasted a total of about an hour. I donāt remember my techās name unfortunately, but she was very kind. What seemed to be an owner/manager came around to make sure my service was good and that I was offered a drink. For me (someone who loves a good pedi and that started doing their own manis at home due to the pandemic) thereās 3 big criteria that I use to judge whether or not a pedi is worth it: cuticle prep, massage, and paint job. My tech was a bit less than gentle when handling my cuticles, but nothing painful, more so uncomfortable. I glanced down after she finished prepping and my toenail-beds were looking quite clean. The massage was soooo gooooooood!! If youāre just in it for the foot massage, come here!!!! Itās the best Iāve gotten aside from an actual full body massage. The paint job was the main reason why my rating is 4 stars. Itās nothing special, to be honest. I got red (because who doesnāt love a red pedi?) and it was a little messy. The bigger spots on my skin came off in the shower, but the smaller ones and the staining did not. Overall, a pretty good pedi and I think the Spa Pedicure was not exactly worth $50 but I...
