Taco Norteno is hands down the best taco place in central Florida. The food is so authentic. The atmosphere is very real and the servers are all bilingual. They are very quick to answer questions from those of us who don’t speak Spanish. That’s kind of important for a food service to be able to share their culture with us here. I love that they are receptive to all of their customers. I happened to stop by at happy hour (Monday thru Friday 4-8 pm) and they had $4 margaritas and they were amazing! They do not cheap out on the alcohol like most places do. Pictured are beef nachos which were so delicious when they were fresh but, believe it or not, were even better as the bottom layers of fresh made tortillas soaked up the cheeses and juices from the toppings. I’m not one to eat “soggy” foods so the fact that I liked these this way was a pleasant surprise. The tortillas remained somewhat firm but took on a consistency like an enchilada. So good. All the taco flavors, steak, chicken, and pork were all equally delicious. We ordered the street taco platter which is six tacos, 2, 2, and 2 of each flavor. All six for $13.99. Great price. You can add your own toppings at their vast salsa bar along with the sautéed onions they provide on the side. Overall, Taco Norteno is a fantastic place to eat real authentic Mexican food. It is now a regular for us. You must go!
Update: The little desserts are coming 6/10/24 are the tres leches and the flan. They brought us a sample of these upcoming desserts when we were here on Friday 6/7/24. These little samples were absolutely incredible. We will be back just...
Read moreThe lady at the front desk at 4:30 on Saturday but extremely unprofessional, she was on her phone laughing talking to somebody on her earpiece the whole time I was trying to put my order in. I stood at the ordering area for about 3 minutes with my baby on my hip while she ran and got ice from the back before taking my order. Mind you the restaurant had one gentleman sitting in it at the time. I asked her about the different types of taco shells, and she literally pointed at the names of the taco shells and said hard crispy and soft, as if I could not read. Followed by no description. It came off very rude. When I got done eating a nice young lady came over immediately to clear my table for me and she also put the baby's chair back for me as well.
I would get a friendlier person at the space where customers interact with them the most while ordering. Someone who's willing to give descriptions of the food instead of just pointing at the menu and reading out loud what the customers can already read.
I like your restaurant and your food, but as a first-timer at this location, it was a very...
Read moregirl taking the orders at the counter could be a little more courteous. I was calling prior to getting there to order for pick up . I was left on the phone waiting for more than five minutes. I decided to go there instead cause they never came back to take my order. I get to the restaurant and I let the girl know that no one came back to the phone. She did not say anything. No apologies. She asked me what did I need to order. I ordered two steak tacos. She says to me that if I needed to add anything else to the tacos I had to add it from the salad bar. Understood. It’s the attitude that perplexed me. I’ve been there before. For the most part everyone is really nice. This girl was having a bad day or who knows. Heavy set girl with long black hair. Don’t know her name. Like I said. Everyone else has always been very nice when I have been there. It’s a shame that one person can ruin it for...
