For years, I knew without a doubt that she was the person I wanted to entrust with this special task, and she far exceeded my already high expectations.
From the moment I stepped into her charming shop, I was captivated by its warmth and coziness. It felt like stepping into a place where dreams were carefully crafted into reality. Her inviting presence and genuine kindness made me feel instantly at ease, knowing my dress was in the hands of someone who truly cared.

Not only was she incredibly skilled, but she was also a true joy to work with. Her expertise and experience were evident, and I trusted her judgment wholeheartedly.
Her kindness and helpfulness extended beyond her sewing table. She took the time to make sure I felt comfortable and confident in my dress, going above and beyond to ensure it was a perfect fit. Her warmth and genuine care made the entire alterations process not only seamless but also enjoyable.
As my wedding day approached, I knew my dress was in the best possible hands. When I finally put it on for the big day, I was in awe of her incredible work. The dress fit like a dream, hugging my curves in all the right places and accentuating its beauty in a way I had only imagined. Read moreI ordered my dream wedding dress from Miranda's Vintage bridal. It ticked every box (and stayed within my budget): natural materials (silk and cotton), fitted bodice that sat exactly at my waistline, sweetheart neckline, lace overlay on bodice, full skirt, medium-length train, sleeves, graceful v-shaped back, and buttons all the way up the back. It was from the 1960's in flawless condition and fit like it was made for me. It was gorgeously constructed, the materials just stunning (just the sound of the skirt fabric was divine, the soft swish-swish of silk instead of the crackle of static and polyester sticking to itself), and it had these dainty 3/4 length lace sleeves. It was even comfortable. Sheer perfection. I really didn't think it was likely that I would be able to wear my dream wedding dress (one can't be too picky and stick to a budget), so after trying it on I was literally giddy that I had found the dress and it didn't need a ton of alterations and even met my budget!
However, my family wasn't so enthusiastic about it. Over the course of several days the negative comments about it being anachronistic or weird to wear a vintage dress stacked up, that it might cause a "wardrobe malfunction" and that I would regret it. I started feeling anxious too, and it got to me enough that I ended up sending it back. I was so disappointed that for weeks I just stopped even looking for a dress, and finally ordered one just two months before my wedding. It was twice as expensive and not nearly as beautiful or as perfectly fitted, made from itchy modern materials (primarily polyester), with a waistline a little too high and no sleeves. Our wedding was beautiful and I loved it, and in the end the dress doesn't matter that much of course, but even now when I think about sending that wedding dress back it makes me feel so sad--it was right, and I wish I hadn't let other's negative opinions change my mind.
TL;DR Miranda is great. The dresses she sells are awesome and so lovingly cleaned and cared for. And if you love the dress you choose for your wedding, don't let anyone change your...
Read moreThis review relates to alterations only, I did not buy my dress from the shop. The final result of the dress was very good, which is the main point. The dress looked great and it fit me well. the work seemed to be high quality other than the cups in the bust which were not well secured and had to be adjusted on the wedding day. My constructive criticism all relates to the customer experience. The staff was friendly, but I had 4 appointments and every single one was late by at least 15 minutes. The first appointment began more than 20 minutes late, and I was waiting standing in my dress. Before my third fitting, I found that the alterations marked with pins in the hips had not been made, so Miranda had to run into the back to sew, which should have been completed before the final fitting. This was super concerning because I didn't want the work to be rushed, and this obviously caused me and my guest to run very late getting out of that appointment. Not all the alterations discussed initially were made by that final fitting, so an extra fitting was required as well.
My final piece of feedback is around price. After the initial visit I was quoted a price. Of course I understood that this was not final, but I did expect the price to be representative of the final cost. The final cost was 15% higher than the initial quote, and at no time was any change in cost discussed with me. On the final bill items I didn't recognize were added (one of which was $90), price of agreed upon items changed, bustle count changed, and I was charged for the additional fitting that was required to complete the agreed upon work. The employee that checked me out wasn't able to clarify any of the changes. Obviously a wedding dress is a significant investment which I signed up for, and I'm happy to pay for high quality work, but the big gap between quoted and final price which was NEVER discussed with me during the process felt like a pretty significant bait and switch.
Final conclusion - good work, lacking...
