I had an off-putting encounter with the owner my first class with her. As soon as I walked into the studio, she asked if I had left a negative review. I had to tell her it wasn't me multiple times because she kept pressing me about it. Mind you, she was interrogating me with other clients around so this was quite embarrassing (mostly for her). I was brand new to the studio so I was confused and uncomfortable as it felt not only unwelcoming but also accusatory and extremely unprofessional. I should've left after that but I already paid so I tried to make the most of it. Dinged 2 stars for this.
The classes are fun and engaging but also challenging. You'll definitely get a good work out in. To be honest, I was actively avoiding classes with the owner after my experience with her so I mostly went to Brianna's classes. I loved every single one of Brianna's classes - she's super sweet and fun. I especially appreciated that she corrected my posture verbally or with very light touch because I generally don't like being touched. I also have a back injury so they made sure to pay attention to me each class so that I wasn't overdoing it or would tell me to do mods on things they knew wouldn't be great for my injury.
The classes are small and intimate which is nice. With that said, given the limited space, it was rather difficult getting into classes. They have a waitlist system but there's no guarantee you'll get into the class you want to. They also don't really offer a lot of classes each day which makes it harder to schedule something if you have busy schedules or a demanding job. So unfortunately, another dinged star here. I would gladly go back if they offered more classes throughout the day/evening though! Unfortunately, it doesn't align well with my...
Read moreI really like this studio. Convenient location with parking in the back, great instructors (I love Teresa’s classes!!), clean space and everyone is friendly. I am disappointed that the class offerings keep shrinking. I used to attend Barre last year but that ended right before summer of 2023 and they still haven’t found a replacement Barre instructor. Then I learned that Community Reformer was not available through Classpass. Now I’m learning that Community Reformer is ending entirely and they are about to phase out all bookings through Class Pass. :( Overall it is becoming less accessible and forcing me to seek an alternative studio. I would pay for the monthly membership if there were more class offerings after work in the evenings. Still a great studio and I will miss coming here. I hope to return someday when my schedule aligns with the offerings and more evening classes...
Read moreA few days shy of making a month in this studio, and I am pleased. The schedule lines up perfectly for me to attend a class after work, Teresa’s Mat Pilates kicks my butt every time, and Christine’s Vinyasa Flow really grounds me. I appreciate that the studio offers a few different classes & instructors. Studio is clean, They ask that you take your shoes off at the entrance, they have all props needed for class - you can bring your own if you’d like, water cooler in studio and street parking is rather easy, and mostly everything is digital which is great to schedule or cancel a class from your phone. Happy to have found...
