Complete WASTE OF TIME today. Had a 1:30pm appointment today and arrived early (1:15) in case I had to fill out any paperwork etc.. I let the (useless) receptionist know I had arrived and she proceeds to tell me I’m too early. Nevertheless, I’m waiting outside of the office and as time goes past my appointment, I suddenly see the lights turned turned off at 2pm for their lunch break. Not even a word from the again, useless receptionist. It seems I also got the older Asian lady who everyone else has the problem with.

This review is by no means a rant on the optometrist (Dr. Siegelman) who was going to conduct my eye exam as she was very, very nice when I used her a few years ago. Dr. Scaramia, the receptionist you have there, she needs to find another line of work if this has been happening for years as evidenced by the previous reviews echoing the same complaints.

**Just to update, I called back and spoke with another receptionist who informed me they didn’t even have me in the system for today. Uhhhh, I got a reminder text message from your office indicating my appointment...

Terrible experience so far. Walked in last week on a Monday the extremely unprofessional receptionist told I had to make an appointment ONLY after I sat down for half an hour waiting. After I told her I already filled out all the initial paperwork she told me I would have to just do it again next week. I couldn't understand why not just keep it so everything can just go quicker next time. It's been a week and now I've been sitting here for 45 minutes !!! A full 30 minutes past my original appointment! The guy next to me asked when my appointment was and I told him 12:30 , he told me his was at 12:50 then, the doctor comes out with his patient then that's when the useless receptionist asks me if I signed in I said no, you never asked me to do it!! So , the 12:50 guy goes ahead of me!! I asked her why he went ahead of me since I had an earlier appointment and was here before he was she had no answer. If I didn't need contacts as bad as I do I would leave right...

I scheduled my appt two weeks in advance since it was a Saturday. I showed up and it turns out it was not Dr Scaramia there but a substitute. It was my first time there. He didn’t introduce himself and was just going thru the tests. I had questions, he answered them but didn’t elaborate. Overall, he wasn’t rude but he was just going thru the motions. Like a robot. Gave me my prescription and sent me on my merry way.

Thinking it was just me, I asked my husband what was his experience. He also had an appointment the same day. He said the Dr had a vibe of he didn’t wanna be there and since it wasn’t his practice, he didn’t seem to care.

We shall see if we go again in the future… I was told glasses take 7-10...
