It is absolutely essential to do your research before signing up for classes. You can skip over math prereqs by taking a placement test Aleks that is free and online. I think OCC allows you take PHYSICS with CALC if you pass CALC here. Email your university advisor of your department of classes you are taking and ask if they go in your program, do not trust some online pdf. There are far too many prereqs that don't transfer. I also don't recommend following the MTA because it is likely the uni won't accept the classes even with MTA because the courses are prereqs, or don't follow in your program in the other university, direct transfers are better because you don't have to pay for the MTA certification. Ultimately the Uni that you transfer to decides what classes transfer, so you should communicate with their counselors, not the Macomb ones. I received a lot of inaccurate information so I would suggest making friends with people who are going to the same uni as you to ensure that you taking the right classes...
Read moreI have absolutely no idea how this college is so highly rated on Google. When I went here, I found that many of the professors maintained a pretty adversarial attitude towards educating their students. It wasn't like this for all teachers (Dr. Flemming is, was, and will always remain my favorite all-time professor) but it was quite obvious that the adjunct faculty was doing it for the side money while the methods of teaching were archaic at best. Further, when I began transitioning into my career, much of the staff were indifferent to the fact that I was having to balance work and school together. I didn't succeed thanks to Macomb, I succeeded in spite of Macomb, and I would recommend people to either go to OCC or simply start their academic careers at either Wayne State or Oakland...
Read moreI am trying desperately to take prerequisites online for a certification program and the amount of issues that I have run into is insane. First they sold me a book with a code that doesn't even work and was already used (bought new) so I missed the entire first week. Then I finally get caught up and have 3 full weeks of assignments in, realize they still haven't been graded, email the professor, who then tells me that she isn't seeing that I submitted anything even though they're seen on my end, now I've been trying to be their IT tech because they won't answer me. For a college that boasts accessibility and easy online learning, they're far from it. I made a mistake spending...
