If you have NATURAL HAIR DO NOT COME HERE. THEY PUT RELAXER IN THEIR CONDITIONER AND SHAMPOO!! EVEN COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR THICK NATURAL HAIR! MY CURLS ARE NEVER THE SAME NOW. I would have totally given this a zero star because I figured out that this hair salon shop put relaxer in their conditioner for "thick" hair to easily straighten I am very very disappointed and wondering why my curls still seem loose. I've never had heat damage and they did not heat damage but texturized it without my permission by putting texturizer/relaxer in their conditioner. I got my hair done here ONE time and the last time. My curls have NOT been the same ever since. Even when I was there the stylist kept making comical comments about my hair being thick. I've always had very nice curls but after that one visit, my hair has not curled ever since to the point I've had to cut it bc my curl pattern changed as if there was a texturizer in it and now my hair is constant falling out and shedding a lot. This makes me very upset and I felt so upset to file a lawful complaint because putting relaxer or texturized in your conditioner is something your clients should know...not smell once it already on our curly hair. I'm so disappointed and wish I knew before I came and now my curls, natural curls, will never be the same.
I must admit, I have no heat damage and my hair was straight...BUT I have had straighter hair and more professional work done WITHOUT having relaxer in my hair. My hair dresser was the older woman(the mom) who has blonde hair. I will never return here. If you don't mind texturized on your thick curly hair, then by all means go here. I am very disappointed to have chemically damaged hair WITHOUT my permission.
Update 11/10/20: I cut all of my hair off in May after seeing my new growth being a completely different texture (my natural texture) and it became unmanageable with two textures so I let it grow out and big chopped again...SEVEN years of natural hair just thrown away!! Please do not believe others. I can show you my hair prior to...
Read moreI went to the Salon this past Saturday (2/8/20) for a NATURAL blow out. I emphasized over the phone and in person I was natural and all I wanted was deep conditioning and a blowout. I also asked upon arrival could they do my texture of hair and was told yes and they do my texture all the time.
Fast forward I have been washed and put under the humidifier with conditioner. My hair was then washed out and I was put under the dryer. I was under the dryer for maybe 5-10 minutes when I reached into my hair and a CLUMP came out. I went to the husband who works in the salon and he blamed it on braids saying "this was dead hair that was going to get combed out". (mind you I literally had 5 cornrows in for a month in which I took out every two weeks combed my hair and re-cornrolled it so it SHOULDNT have been based off any dead hair. The wife then proceeded to come over and blame the previous salon and their chemicals. The wife in the salon then proceeds to tell me she doesn't want to touch my hair and wont touch my hair. She was very aggressive and rude to me seeing as I WAS THE UNHAPPY CUSTOMER (I have been going to the SAME Salon for years and my hair has done nothing but grown. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME)
THIS IS WHERE THINGS GET EVEN WORSE
My husband comes to pick me up (hair wet still) and while we are leaving the wife comes over and says "So you're not gonna pay" we say no and she proceeds to SNATCH the information sheet out of my hand.. my husband makes a comment about her snatching it and the OWNER (who doesn't speak any English) get in my husbands face like she wants to fight. As we are walking out they surround us including customers (I AM ASSUME THESE ARE REGULARS/ FAMILY WHO ONLY GOES TO THIS SHOP) They had a customer follow us outside and taunt us.
I have uploaded a picture of what I had to detangle through (MIND YOU, THIS IS ONLY 25% of my hair; imagine the whole pile once I combed through my hair) I AM SO DEVASTED in not only my hair results but their actions.
SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND WILL BE TAKING...
Read moreHas visited this salon twice and both visits were amazing. I have a full sew-in (16", 18", and 20") so I've received the wash and blowout services with the leave in moisturizer cocktail on both visits.
First of all, I went there on a Sunday for both visits and the second visit (today), I went at the right time, there was no wait time. After checking in at the front counter, I went straight to the bowl for my wash. She washed my hair, conditioned it, and then gave me the best head massage ever with the leave in moisturizer. Then she tied my hair with a net and a hand towel that covered my ears to prevent burning under the dryer. Was only under the dryer for maybe 25 minutes and then I went to get blown out GENTLY. The hair dryer was not set to "hell" as in other salons. The stylist curled and pin curled my hair. I was in and out in less than an hour and a half and my hair looks like a fresh sew in!
I will always be a client as the staff are so nice and accommodating, they play great music, it's a comfortable atmosphere AND you are offered a mimosa or juice (mango, which was refeshing) at no additional cost.
The price is contingent upon what services you select and any add-ons (color, moisturizer, trim, etc.) but it's worth every penny. FYI - On Tuesdays, it's $15 off of your services.
Try them out, you won't be...
