I visited Mix and Mingle Coffee Shop on a Friday night, and it was definitely an experience I wasn’t expecting. First off, this is not your typical cozy, quiet coffee shop vibe—it leaned more toward a nightlife/lounge atmosphere. I really wish there had been more information available ahead of time about the live DJ and band, because it completely changed the tone of the visit. It felt more like a club than a coffeehouse once the night picked up.

They offer alcoholic beverages and a selection of non-alcoholic drinks, which was a bit surprising for a place that’s branded as a coffee shop. The scenery and aesthetic were totally my vibe—beautiful décor, trendy layout, and a space that feels curated for socializing and photos.

The food actually tasted great in the moment, but unfortunately, I ended up getting food poisoning afterward, which really put a damper on the whole experience. That aside, my server was wonderful—very friendly and attentive, which I truly appreciated.

Overall, Mix and Mingle is a beautiful venue with good energy, but if you’re looking for a chill coffee spot, this probably isn’t it—especially on weekend nights when it gets loud and more like a lounge. EXACTLY the kind of place I've been looking for during my visit to the DMV and while traveling or living ANYwhere. A nice, laid-back day lounge, with cozy seating and serves drinks and food of different types. Plus, my beautiful Black people and good vibes. 💞💞❤️ I went during their Sunday brunch, and they also had some great music playing: my beloved '90s R&B!!! They have regular table seating, comfy couch and love-seat seating, AND bar seating. Take your pick!

The food and my two (one ginger peach and one cranberry) mimosas were good! I had their chicken and waffles, and the chicken was very well-seasoned, and the waffle was fresh and the right kind of crispy. Delish.

They have this music artist art that is beautiful, amazingly done, and a nice touch for the decor. It was even on some of the tables!! Very cool, unique idea. I loved it all.

Lastly, the staff was great -- very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout. I really hope this business continues to thrive -- WE NEED MORE LIKE IT IN THE WORLD. Needless to day, I will DEFinitely be back as many times as I can while...

I've been going to this place for the last six months and I must say, the customer service has always been warm, friendly, and welcoming. The atmosphere is laid-back and family-oriented, with great music playing in the background. Each visit brings the opportunity to meet new people and make connections.

Upon entering, you're greeted with a genuine and warm welcome, as if you're part of the family. The food is consistently delicious and served promptly. The bartenders are skilled in crafting exceptional drinks, and their coffee is simply heavenly.
