So, I've been in this store around a dozen times or so over the last 5 years. I've never received a hello. I've never been asked if I needed help. This year, after not celebrating Christmas for many years, I thought, with my partner, let's celebrate a new tradition. New Hallmark ornament every year for each of us. This is the closest, and I'm going to be specific here, place that SELLS Hallmark merchandise. Notice I didn't say Hallmark Store. Keep that in mind. We get ours, hers, well, because I'm assuming corporate greed, now needs a magic cord. Were we told that? Nah. On us partially? Sure. But maybe inform the customer that it needs it and don't assume everyone has one as they change every 5 years or so anyway. So return to the store, we got the last one! Congratulations! Too bad 5 of the connections don't work. So, we return the cord, and frankly, out of frustration, the ornament as well. They then turn around and immediately sell a faulty cord to another customer looking for one while we are right there. This was literally seconds after the return. Why did they need the cord? THEY ALSO DIDN'T KNOW THEY NEEDED ONE. We get store credit. That we can now only use at THIS particular location as this is NOT a Hallmark store, but a store that sells Hallmark merchandise? So we can't even go to Jordan Creek to a better stocked and friendlier location to use our credit. Kicker? No merchandise credit card, it's on a receipt! Don't lose it! Barcode has to be readable or you're SOL! So time to put it in a plastic sleeve and wait for next...

She looked in one area and proclaimed they were out. I then asked if it was possible for the Jordan Creek location to have the item. Her response was “I don’t know” considering that the store wasn’t busy and this mall is dead I asked if she could find out. Here is the kicker I was told I needed to wait until she finished ringing others out before she’d continue to assist me. After I already waited in line. Read moreI came to the store today to process a Christmas return with my receipt. It was a. Duplicate Hallmark ornament. The first associate went to ask for guidance from another associate that was I the back of the store conducting tasks. When she came up the associate informed her of the concern, she blurted out to the air that the store did not do returns on ornaments. Never once did she even look at me. When I questioned her on what I could do, I was told that I could get 50% back in the form of another ornament. It isn’t concerning to me that this is the policy, but rather the rude and uncaring way that the information was delivered. This person should not be in retail ever.
