Associate 0170, she was the manager judging by the key ring she carried, short gray hair and glasses, took my call at 5:23pm in regards to a turkey roaster, if it was in stock and the price. I sat on hold for 7 minutes and listened to her help other customers. So I just headed that way. I WALKED IN THE DOOR ON HOLD, still, with phone time at 15min 52secs. I got all the way to the back, read the sale sign myself, picked up the roaster and stood in line watching this associate for a following 5 minutes work on something else with another associate and never going to check the roaster prices/availability, before going back to the phone and realizing I had hung up she proclaimed "well she hung up". She then proceeded to check me out with the turkey roaster, said there was a coupon.. there was not, I had already checked. She then didn't check me out until she tried scanning the apparel coupon for 30% off, returned to me telling me the coupon didn't work and I told her I already knew that to please finish my purchase. I worked at Penny's for 3 years back east and this is the worst one I've ever been to. Customer service is always below average and the associates are far from knowledgeable on anything in the store. I don't think I've ever had a good experience here. Today was the feather that pushed me to post a review.
I want to follow the review by saying I know they close at 6pm, I had just got off work myself and wanted to know if it was worth the trip across town. I also work in customer service industry, I assumed it being Sunday evening they were down to skeleton crew so I wasn't bothered that she got held up with other customers, but when I got there I counted 7 associates on the floor and the manager was standing in jewelry.. which is MAYBE a 30sec walk to the roasters location, even asking one of the 4 associates standing around to go look would have been a step in the right direction to answering a customers questions. Clovis Penny's has to...
Read moreThere were 40 percent off sales everywhere and every item I brought to th3 register was disputed by the cashier. I showed her each place I found my item and showed her that there was more than the one I wanted to buy. She then would still have a response. Ex: oh well that sign shouldn't be there, or that 40 percent is for the left side while clearly the sign was in the midddle. I felt harassed, discriminated agàimst and/ or the cashier was trying to make a side profit. My receipt says I bought 5 items but I only bought 4 and if I wasn't going to a funeral, I would have not bought anything from this outlet. I'm still considering returning the items if I can replace them at another outlet. I was outraged but...
Read moreWhen we arrived at JCPenney salon we waited for 15 minutes before we finally called the store on the the telephone to find out if somebody worked there. There was no one to be found. We couldn't find a cashier on the floor, it was really weird. After we did find someone to help us she did a great job with our hair appointment but just shopping at this store is difficult. Everything is so close together that if you're handicapped it's difficult to get through the aisles and then if you try to find someone to check you out it's comical. I don't understand why they think that they can run a whole store with only three or four people. It is because of these reasons that I do not shop...
