We’ve eaten here hundreds of times. When my mom was alive we would bring here weekly for the catfish which she loved. But the last couple of times have been very disappointing. Twice we’ve ordered chips with queso and twice it never made it to the table and both times when I cancelled the appetizer the server got upset. But isn’t an appetizer before your meal not after the meal is served. So today we debated going back but thought we’d give it the benefit of the doubt. We were seated and wait for some time before we were approached by a server the restaurant was busy so no big deal. Got our drink order and again ordered the chips and queso appetizer. I wasn’t real hungry so I ordered the Texas wings. Waited and waited for appetizers but again no show. Then the server brings out our food. I advised her to cancel the appetizer. The chicken looked good. I bit into a small drummy it tasted weird then I looked and it was bloody I checked three other of the wings and all were raw inside. So I decided to just eat my fries and not make a scene but my wife informed the server who saw the raw chicken and said she would go get her manager. We waited and waited and no manager came to our table. The server returned to the table while I was in the bathroom and informed my wife she removed the wings from our ticket. My wife asked where is the manager and the server said do you want me to get him. My wife told the server you were going to get him earlier what happened. At that point with frustration building we just got our ticket and paid minus the wings. (Of course I’m not paying for food I couldn’t consume because it was under cooked) The girl at the counter was very apologetic and said she’ll inform the manager. I told my frustration that the manager doesn’t have the common courtesy to come out and speak to us. I asked the his name and was advised Devonte. I will no longer dine at this restaurant and will advise family, friends and anyone who will listen about the poor service at this Cotton Patch. Sad I’ve been told not to eat there but I liked the atmosphere and usually the food and service is good. I’ll have to find another location for dinner I have pictures but it won’t let...
Read moreThis place has been a disappointment and growing over the last two years. It’s too bad though because the price is right I’d pay more though for good service and hot food. So I visited probably over a year ago and they had a special that’s not normally on their menu of that time of Ribeye Steak. So I decided to order it, when it came to the table you could smell that it was rotten without getting close to it, that’s how bad it was. I was disgusted that you could smell it from that far away and they would still send it out to a customer. This was so bad and embarrassing that I took it to the manager in a quiet corner of the restaurant. Only to be faced with the person who cooked and served it and was in a very bad mood. It turned me off to the place so bad that I had not returned till this recent Friday, against my better judgement. There were only about 5 tables including ours that had anyone at it on a Friday evening, that should have been our first clue that things have only gotten worse. Bread was served cold after our food had arrived and we saw the bread just sitting up front and had to ask for it. The sides were cold and the PORK was raw. They offered a replacement but I just didn’t want anything from there anymore, they kindly took it off the ticket though I did not ask. The manager (same terrible one) came over and reluctantly offered a half ass apology. I don’t want anyone to lose their job over a review but this guy shouldn’t be the face of any business he should be hidden in the back somewhere. So in conclusion has the place gone down hill because or poor management or is it because they refuse to pay good enough to attract people who are good at their job and enough people to serve a restaurant full of people, you decide. But I won’t be returning for another year at least, probably until it has new management. But I don’t think it will survive that long. It used to be an amazing place that I would visit at least 4 times a month and I don’t even...
Read moreUnfortunately I had to delete my previous review to be able to leave a new one. Our last visit was marked by slow service during a slow time and irrational behavior by staff and management. This time it wasn’t particularly busy and it wasn’t after a rush. We were told by the person who seated us that they didn’t have silverware as it was being washed. I was taken aback by this announcement. I asked if they had just had a rush and he said it hadn’t been too busy. At 56, having worked in food service and literally have eaten out well over a thousand times, a sit down restaurant not having silverware isn’t a thing. Anyway, the food quality was spotty and not what we are used to from CP. here is the insane part. The waitress brought our food, set it down then asked if we needed anything else. I politely said we need silverware. She said they didn’t have any then just stood there and looked at me . After several seconds I said “we need something, we aren’t eating with our hands.” She said “I can get you to-go ware if you want”. I said “whatever you need to do,”. She left and came back with plastic ware packets. My wife and I both worked in restaurants. We know that what happened is an impossibility and a direct result of horrible management. There is no way this should have been allowed. I looked at my wife and asked her what she would have done as waitstaff. She said she would have snatched utensils out of the dishwasher, hand washed it and make sure it went out with the food. This irrational speech and action by the server is the same type of thing that happened with our last visit when the server brought our check and said they weren’t honoring offers listed on the menu because “we don’t do that anymore”. I had the manager fix our check and tried to tell him what happened and how I felt about it and the entire time he looked away and sighed several times like I was...
