BLUF: Lucky Day sells broken products and actively works against reaching a satisfactory resolution with the customer. I purchased an electric pressure washer from Lucky Day liquidation on Sunday afternoon. I returned to my residence one hour away from Lucky Day. I plugged the pressure washer into the wall. The cable's test and reset features failed and indicated a malfunction based on the directions printed on the plug. Additionally, the pressure washer would not power on when commanded. I immediately called Lucky Day to inform them of the issue. I was told by an employee I needed to return to the store by Monday evening (the day following the purchase) in order to exchange the pressure washer for a working one. The drive to the store is a two hour round trip. I asked if I could receive an exception to their policy due to the distance and the fact the product was defective. I planned to return to Fresno on Saturday (6 days after purchase) at which time I could easily exchange the pressure washer. I was told by the employee they would call me back after talking to "upper management" and requesting an exception to the policy. I received a phone call from Lucky Day about a half hour later. I was told that they could not approve an extension of the return period but I could come to the store on Wednesday, Thursday, or Sunday to talk to Nate in "upper management" about a possible extension. I said this was unsatisfactory as I would be in Fresno Saturday. It was at this time the employee developed an unprofessional attitude and stated this was the resolution I had originally requested. The employee stated that Nate or any other member of "upper management" could not call me at any point during the week and my only option was to show up on one of those days to request the extension. It was at this time I determined any further interaction was futile and informed the employee I would be charging the purchase back on my credit card. I am confident my credit card company will see through the deceptive and unfair business practices of Lucky Day...
Read more"I was genuinely interested in visiting Lucky Day Liquidation after seeing an ad on social media promoting special deals. However, I always check reviews before visiting any store, and so far, I've come across several concerning comments. Many people mentioned encountering rude staff, receiving broken or missing items, and even being racially profiled, such as an instance where a customer was falsely accused of stealing despite video evidence showing otherwise.
There are also complaints about being constantly watched, which ruins the shopping experience. Some customers noted misleading prices, where items are advertised at one price but charged differently, along with an additional 3% service tax fee. There’s even a report of someone being injured by sharp items in the bins. Multiple reviews describe employees treating customers as if they are a problem rather than valued patrons.
One customer mentioned being blocked on social media after expressing their concerns, which feels dismissive and unprofessional. As the saying goes, "The customer is always right," and businesses rely on their customers to thrive. Treating customers with dignity and respect should be a priority. I hope this company reconsiders its approach to customer service because, without happy customers, there’s...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer of Lucky Day Liquidation for a long time, but I am sorry to say that I will not be returning or supporting them anymore.
This store used to be a great place to find high-quality items at bargain prices, mixed with some average ones. But now, the bins are filled with nothing but junk and out of season home decor. The good items are taken out and are outrageously priced, even though they are second-hand.
I witnessed a shocking incident today when a lady at the checkout had a JBL speaker that she had found in the bin on a $6 day. The cashier was so appalled that they didn't find the speaker earlier and stick on a retail price that she asked another employee to see if they should charge the customer more for the speaker… how absurd.
This place has gone downhill and I do not recommend it.
Also, please beware of the inappropriate music and the adult toys that you may encounter in the bins. Definitely not a family friendly...
