I visit Cocoa Village every summer and enjoy shopping at several boutiques and have enjoyed the relationships I have formed with several shop owners. Yesterday, was my first time shopping at Green Apples and I unfortunately experienced a very rude encounter with one of the employees or perhaps owners. As I browsed through a collection of summer dresses and found my size, the employee said directly to me âThat will not fit you.â This employee had not said anything to me as I entered the store or looked aroundâŚor even asked how can I help youâŚ..justâŚâThat will not fit youâ. My first thought was she may have some type of mental problem, because that is so opposite to good customer service. As we all know, a good salesperson is excited about assisting a customer and making sales. . As I held it up to the mirror to see how the color bounced against my skin, to my disbeliefâŚ.she said it againâŚ.That will not fit you. I chose to ignore her rudeness, and instead began chatting with another customer. The customer said to me, â What a beautiful dress, I think it would look awesome on you! I told her thanks, I think Iâm going to try it on cause I love the color. When I asked to have a fitting room, the rude employee/owner saidâŚ.Itâs not going to fit you. Normally, I would not patronize a business with such poor customer service, but as a retired teacherâŚI felt this.had the potential to be a teachable moment. Fast forward, I did try it on and loved the fit and decided to purchase. The same customer gave me several compliments when I changed into it and wore it out the store. I did take the opportunity to explain to the employee how unkind she was with her words, and of course she said she did not mean to offend me. Actually, I believe she was very intentional about being unkind and rude towards meâŚ..not only because she said it repeatedlyâŚ.but because after reading several reviewsâŚI see this has been a distinct pattern over several years. Initially, I did not want to write a review, but the whole encounter left me completely confused about how in the world could this type of behavior promote sales. Sadly, I know my review will not make any difference in her behavior as all the previous reviews have not as well. Just needed to share...
Read moreJudged by the owner the second you walk in. Scolds your kid for even touching an item of clothing! She actually yelled at my TWO year old constantly! One time for going through the racks which she actually didn't, a shirt just fell off the hanger when she walked by. Every few seconds she was saying something to my toddler who was ONLY looking at things. She didn't break anything, get anything dirty, didn't puke on anything.. lol I have no idea what she thought would happen! If you don't want kids in the store POST A SIGN!!!! I couldn't even appreciate a single item long enough to even WANT to buy anything before she was saying not to touch something to MY child.
The lady has been snotty to me every time I have ever walked into the place, huffing and puffing. Today I tried on two pairs of shoes and at the end she told me how much they were "SO ARE YOU GETTING THEM?" "No not today" Slams the shoe boxes-huffs and puffs all the way to the back where she put them away. Then she NEVER talked to me unless it was telling me what to do with my child. Oh boy, what a crappy place to be, you could just FEEL the thick air of negativity when you walk in. I actually did want to buy several things but thought otherwise. The negativity attached to it, plus the idea that a dime would go to that nasty old bitter woman changed my mind to just find these items cheaper online in the comfort of my home. If you decide to throw rocks in the air, chances are pretty high that they will fall right back...
Read moreI shopped in this store about 2 years ago and found some really great items, so I was very excited to visit again. My friend and I walked in and the store clerk, who I believe is the owner was in conversation with a gentleman. We were not greeted or welcomed. My friend was shopping for an outfit for her sister to wear to a wedding and she snapped a photo to send to her. The âladyâ exclaimed very loudly, âMissâŚMiss! We do NOT allow pictures to be taken in our store. My friend apologized because there were no signs and we had no idea of this rule. She was prepared to spend at least $500 but once this happened we walked directly out of this store and will not be back. PS I also had 2 items in my hand that would have totaled nearly $300. I guess she doesnât need our business and if her attitude doesnât change she will have zero customers! Itâs a shame because the store does have some...
