I am a senior who is not super tech savvy & usually hold on to my phone pretty long becausecI dread the changover/ transfer and the time it usually takes. But kept getting trade in deals emails from Verizon so decided to see what new phone I could get that didn't break the bank. Ist stop in I got greeted by Travis who was very knowledgeable & pleasant to deal with as he explained my trade in options. Being pressed for time then I returned at end of week to get my new phone & plan. Travis was busy with another customer so talked to Alex another friendly, knowledgeable staff who helped me till his previous appt came in & then had me talk to Jeff the supervisor who was also super friendly & tech savvy as well. The store was busy and all three guys multi tasked while helping their own customers. Got my new S25 with all info transferred over from old phone in just under an hr ! I did prep for this as well cleaning files & having PW's handy as well. I left extremely satisfied with my new phone and these great Verizon salespeople taking care of me. Each one checked in to answer questions & speed the process along. They are awesome ! I'll come back for tech support & their hands on knowledge & their friendly service. Went in tonight 10/12 at 545p to possibly get a new phone and was told that it would not be possible because they closed at 6 (even though their posted hours say 7). I was ok with this understanding that 15 minutes was probably not long enough to activate a phone and instead inquired about my recent contract and how much was owed. One of the two women who were working took my phone number and texted me a link that I needed to click on within 60 seconds in order to verify my identity. I wish she had told me this before she sent the text....My phone was dead (the reason I am in the market for a new one) and in my car so needless to say I couldn't verify my account within 60 seconds. Because I didn't verify my number the two women working told me that there was nothing they could do to help me for another hour because of a Verizon lock out period. I pleaded with them asking if the account manager could do anything to change the scenario but they casually said no. These women's lack of interest in my situation mixed with their desire to leave work at 6pm on the dot has really left a bad taste in my mouth for this location. I have bought every phone that I have ever owned since my first phone at 16 here in Colchester but I am sad to say I will now...
Read moreI went in with questions about my family plan and was looking to make any needed changes to it, in order to save myself and my family some $$. Problem is, I spent an hour and a half in the store, with children with me and not a single customer service rep acknowledged mine or my families presence in the store. I had to leave because I had other arrangements and since it took 45 minutes or more for anyone else to be assisted I couldn't get any answers or make any changes. This is just another bad service experience added to the list and I am strongly considering returning all of my devices and going to a different carrier now. Verizon retailers are just trying to shove sales down customers throats these days, not identifying what a particular family actually needs.
