Had dinner here tonight because the Pho restaurant around the corner is closed on Tuesdays. So we ended up at Ledo's very apprehensively because of our last visit. We should have followed our instincts and not have dinner there. We were seated, our drink order taken and given a lot of time to decide what we wanted to order. In that time the wait staff/bus boy had words with each other where it was very clear the man was obviously emotional. He stands moping around and following the girl. This goes on for at least 10 min. Our waitress comes to take our order. No emotion, no sense that she really wanted to be there. Ok, I get it you may not like your job.. Our dinner arrives. My dish was supposed to be pasta with sausage and veggies. I got all that on top of a half cup of pure grease where my food was drowning in it. I didn't even bother to say anything I was ready to go, but I stayed. My husband enjoyed his meal. He enjoyed it until the waitstaff decided to plop themselves behind me in the booth and talk amongst themselves as if they all had hearing aids. They went on and one about nothing at all. Yes we heard the conversation(s), how could we not they were LOUD. Not soon as that happened another 2 of the wait staff sits in the booth behind my husband and decides to go on and on as well. What is this? Dinner time for wait staff at the same time? The least they could have done was sit in another part of the restaurant. There was PLENTY of seating available. The restaurant was dead.... So, this leads me to the enjoyable part of our experience.. LEAVING... We gave this restaurant a second chance, however we will not be returning due to the obvious lack of waitstaff training and service. Didn't even see or sense any Management...
Read moreMy family and I have been going to Ledo's since the 1970s when the only location was on University Boulevard and the line snaked out the door and down the sidewalk on the weekends.
I'm therefore sad to write this review, which is regarding my most recent experience in December 2024. On the evening of 12/20, I ordered two pizzas for my daughter's birthday on 12/21, and I received an email reflecting:

Unbeknownst to me until the next morning, an email sent at 11:22 PM on 12/20, reflecting the following:

This really caused me a lot of stress on the day of my daughter's birthday party. I had to switch things around and scramble to find replacement pizza (thank you Three Brothers on Riggs Road)! I sent a message on the Ledo's website regarding my cancelled order hoping someone would get back to me with an explanation, but no one ever did. It was only two pizzas to be picked up at 11:45 am when they open at 11:00 am, so it wasn't like I was ordering 10 pizzas are anything like that. If they couldn't fulfill the order, then I should have not received confirmation. I will think twice before ordering...
Read moreI would’ve given a 1-star rating, but I’m giving 3 stars out of respect for the genuinely kind and professional staff who work there—especially the gentleman who calmly explained the refund process.
That said, my experience last night was upsetting. I ordered a pizza and waited in the bar area. I was fine with the bar being closed, but one of the servers kindly offered to check with the manager if I could get one last drink while waiting.
Unfortunately, the manager who came over was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. Rather than simply addressing the drink request, she abruptly told me to leave the bar area and sit elsewhere. I chose to stay calm.
The situation escalated when I went to pick up my pizza. The same manager followed me to the restaurant counter and asked whether I still wanted the pizza or preferred a refund. I asked for the refund. However, instead of processing it clearly, she made an extremely serious and false accusation in front of customers and staff, claiming I had made two of the servers uncomfortable by asking for their numbers—which was completely untrue.
I’ve visited this place before and never experienced this level of disrespect. While I appreciate the other staff members, what happened here was not only unprofessional, it was defamatory. I plan to follow up on this matter with management, because false accusations can have serious consequences and should never be...
