Okay...just to keep this real and to offer some substantive background...I did not like the name of the store once I found out they sold cookies. I thought "Who would name a cookie store MidnighTreats? I don't get it. I'm sure there is a copy right thing for Cookie Monsters but how about Monster Cookies Inc. and make them real big?" Anyway, I was taking a walk from my Vienna condo and made my way down by the store on Monday afternoon. I thought I'd stop in and grab a couple cookies for after dinner so my fiancée and I could "check them out". I walked in and saw three people around the service counter and a tray of some very impressive looking and large cookies, like they were just pulled out of the oven. "We're closed on Mondays" I heard a polite voice say. I admit I was a bit lost in the sight of the cookies and it took a moment to understand and realize today is Monday, I am standing in the store, I'm staring back at them and trying to comprehend I'm not getting cookies. But then a short and pleasant exchange took place, probably speaking calmly to determine if I was a lunatic, and the small group realized I am a new customer. Then I heard "You want a few?" Already a long story now...I left with six amazing looking cookies in a very cool box . The experience just got better as we tried them at room temp first and then reheated in the air fryer per instructions. AMAZING! Now I bake (only second to my enjoyment of cooking...the non desert kind of cooking) and I was stunned when I saw the recipes exclude eggs and dairy! NO WAY!!! These are Vegan?! Someone, a very skilled, Jedi like baker, figured out the holy grail of recipes to exclude two staple ingredients and get these delightful blessings. I can now see myself waking up at night and making my way to the kitchen for a MidnighTreat of a treat. I think Monster Cookies Inc still has potential though LOL. Keep making these amazingly delish cookies and I will start...

My friend came to town, and we were literally looking for a midnight treat after picking her up from the train station. We did the four-pack of monster cookies. We got the oreo cake, caramel pumpkin spice, cinna-roll, and birthday bash. I love how they include instructions on the box for storing and reheating the cookies.

My favorites were the Oreo cake and the caramel pumpkin spice. The Oreo cake was so good. I love how Oreo cookie part is infused into the middle of the cookie. The caramel pumpkin spice is the perfect fall flavor, and it's so good, and not overly sweet. My friends favorite was the cinna-roll. The cookies were dense but also gave a cakey vibe. They are also the perfect level of sweetness and flavors really complement each other.

The cookies reheat amazingly and taste even better the days that follow. I threw them into the air fryer for 2-3 minutes, and the crispy outside pairs with the soft interior. OH MY GOD. I am not even a cookie person, but I have a new obsession now.

The girl at the front who helped us was extremely friendly and provided us with her recommendations of popular options, as well as answering any questions we had. The spot is super cute and definitely a cool spot to chill.
