Speedy Furniture — Local services in College Township

I was recommended by a friend who said they were so nice and had great stuff for reasonable prices. She was so right. The owners are professional, easy to talk to, not pushy, and will go the extra mile to work with you. I walked in and was welcomed by Stacey and Dave, husband&wife/owners of Speedy in State College, who made a point to remember my name. These two were patient with me as I sat on EVERYTHING, and Dave ended up showing me the beautiful, contemporary sectional I ended up buying - I had initially walked right past it, so I was really glad he pointed it out as a best seller! But, if you don't see what you were looking for in the store room, ask to see their catalogue!

I told them I wanted to bring a friend and would be back the following Saturday, so Stacy, remembering a chat we had about how much we love our cats, brought me a bag of fresh catnip from her garden when I came back in. She even remembered my cat's name! It was the nicest exchange, and I enjoyed working with them.

Not only that, but they ordered my sectional and it was delivered to the store within four business days. I couldn't have it delivered right away, so they were gracious enough to hold on to it for me, space permitting (smaller showroom/storage to reduce overhead). My experience with Speedy Furniture from start to finish was nothing short of phenomenal, and I truly commend the owners for their honesty and kindness--they really do go the extra mile to make sure their customers are happy and taken care of! For context, I initially purchased a sofa that turned out to be slightly too large to fit through my front door, a result of me improperly accounting for the dimensions of the couch vs. those of the door. Right there, during the delivery, the movers called one of the store owners, Stacey, and she was incredibly understanding and kind--she even offered me a swap-out item at no additional charge to what I'd paid for the first couch (a three-piece power recliner [pictured below] that could be assembled in parts, which completely solved the dimensions issue)! Later that week, I came into the store, confirmed the swap, and it was delivered the very next week (Speedy is certainly an accurate description)! I am incredibly happy with my couch (which is honestly infinitely better than my initial choice), and I look forward to stopping by again soon for a dining room set! I had looked with no success for over a year for the couch I wanted. I happened upon Speedy Furniture somewhat by accident (I thought it was a used furniture store!) Much to my surprise, I found a beautiful show room of furniture with prices that I wasn’t sure were real. (you know, if it is too good to be true, it probably isn’t). However, in this case it WAS true! And while I love getting quality for a bargain, it was really Dave and Stacy that sealed it for me. They are genuine and I could smell the integrity. (I have a good nose for that.) With any other furniture store I had visited the year before, I felt the pressure to sell me something as soon as I walked in the door. Not so with them. They worked with me in a way that I felt very much taken care of, with no pressure. They just wanted to give me great service, quality product and at amazing prices.
