I am very disappointed with grooming at this location. The first time I took my fur baby here I was shocked that they charged twice as much as my Hollywood Feed back home. I took my fur baby home for the holidays, a couple weeks after being groomed and this is where there horror story starts.
I go to pick up my fur baby from my groomer of many years. She asks me if I've had him groomed since moving a year ago. I told her I had just gotten him groomed a couple weeks prior at the Hollywood Feed in Colleyville. Then she asked if I asked them to brush his teeth and express his anal glands. I told her yes. That's when she informed me that it looked like his anal glands hadn't been expressed since I moved and that it was the first time she ever had difficulty expressing them due to lack of maintenance. Then she told me it was also the first time she ever had plaque on his teeth that she couldn't scrape off. She said there was no way that either of these items had been done within the past 2 weeks.
It's sad that you can no longer trust people to do what you overpay them to do. It does certainly explain why after grooming my fur baby still seemed like his anal glands weren't expressed. It's because they weren't. It also explains why his breath has been worse. It's because the groomer didn't get the plaque off his teeth.
Beware if you go here to get your dog groomed. You may pay excessive prices and still come out with nothing more than a dog that got a bath and a good brush. I hate my furry kid had this experience but don't let it happen to your...
Read more1st time inside Colleyville - I’ve been a customer for a little over three years now initially starting with the Coppell, TX location as a referral from dog’s trainer, JP Dog Training. Compared to the famous commercial brands out there, there is definitely no comparison to me. I see such a difference in my dog’s seasonal allergies, her coat has never been as shiny as it is. I could be wrong, but dogs love a variety of different foods just like humans do and it be hooves you to give it a try. Quality will be a little higher in cost, but do it for the longevity of your pet. Now as for Colleyville, you could step it up and give sample treats with deliveries which will give the owner an idea of what the dog would like and helps to increase their own sales. I was accustomed to this with Coppell. One thing that has not changed is my dog’s excitement when she hears her food delivery come. Her bark is different and she knows something is coming just for her. I cannot imagine living anywhere else and a HF store...
Read moreI cannot say enough about my wonderful experience! I walked in, immediately overwhelmed by all the options and of course never having been in the store, had no idea how to find what I was looking for. I was quickly greeted and a man who just came back in from carrying someone's large dog food bag to their car, asked me what he could help with. I had a list of a few things I knew I needed, and he (Jesse- turns out to be the Assistant Manager) took time with me, explained my options, broke down the values of each one, and together we made decisions on which direction to go for my animal. He was kind, patient, super thorough and honest- once I gave him background on a challenge, he actually recommended a product that wasn't their store brand's, because he knew it would be better for me and my needs. I couldn't ask for a better customer service experience! This just became my go-to place for my pet needs,...
