We are proud canine parents to a sweet grumpy old 12yr old Dalmatian lady, named Chloee. Bark Avenue we cannot express how blessed we are to have discovered such a special place to make sure our sweet lady is taken care of to the fullest. John and Tammy are absolutely amazing people, your profound knowledge and unconditional love for dogs is breath taking. You truly portray a passion to achieve the greater good of canines and animals in general. As new customers we had a million questions and all of the staff took their time and educated us and helped us pick good wholesome products. Jackie you're the epitome of a dog pastry chef! Our sweet girl and some of her friends have enjoyed so many delicious treats baked with love by you. Thank you!! Alex you are an herb genius and you have truly saved our girl with the herbal aspirin and so many other things. You're love and compassion for animals and their health beams through your work. Than you for your guidance with anxious parents like us. Chloee is getting older and so many new things have developed due to aging but you're always there to lend an ear and guide us with wonderful products. The whole team at Bark truly gave us our baby back. Last summer we had an awful scare with her and the vet told us we had about 6 months left. Her kidneys weren't functioning well, she was in pain and her hip sockets are barely holding her hips in. The following day we rushed to Bark Avenue exhausted, sad and scared. The team came to the rescue and introduced us to a kidney supplement to boost kidney function, a herbal aspirin for pain and anxiety relief, goats milk to help digest these new additives to her already high grade diet and joint supplements. We went home feeling relief and began the new feeding process. Within a few days she had perked up and was acting like a young pup again!!! We have doubled their 6 month termination and are still going strong! She's even able to climb the stairs in our new place! We owe it all to Bark Avenue! Not only have you been such a blessing to our baby you have blessed us by being wonderful people and friends! Thank you a thousand times! If you're reading this and haven't checked this place out for your fur baby, stop what you're doing and get over there!!
Love you guys! Joshua Gaines, Candace and...
Read moreWhen I move to a new town, one of the first things I seek out is a great pet store—one with healthy, fresh options and a staff that genuinely cares. Bark Avenue in Colleyville is exactly that, and more.
From the moment I walked in, I was treated like family—by both the friendly staff and the four-legged greeters lounging behind the counter. I explained what I was looking for, and left not only with great suggestions but also generous samples of new foods and treats to try at home.
The next time I visited, one of my pets had just come back from the hospital. I asked if they had ice cream. Not only did they have it—they had five or six varieties, and the staff member helping me knew every single ingredient and benefit of each flavor without even glancing at the labels.
Bark Avenue isn’t just a pet store. It’s a wellness hub for dogs and cats, rooted in a mission to provide natural nutrition and holistic care. They offer raw diets, herbal and homeopathic remedies, and even a self-serve bakery with handmade, human-grade treats like Bacon and Cheese Twists and Pupper Nutters.
They’ve earned my loyalty from day one—and I haven’t set foot in another pet store since. If you’re just looking for basic kibble, PetSmart will do. But if you want the best for your furry family, Bark Avenue is the only...
Read moreI've been coming here for years with great experiences. However, my opinion completely changed after my visit today. Somehow asking an employee a question about what would be a good treat to keep my dog busy for a while turned into a discussion about how vets' recommend bad food which turned into an anti-vaccination conversation, all completely unsolicited. After politely trying to end the conversation a few times, I finally had to abruptly say we wanted to look around for her to get the message. I have no issue about people having their opinions, but I would rather not hear a lecture about how my dog is going to get cancer because of the rabies vaccine, when all I want is to buy some treats. Especially since I was wearing a mask due to the pandemic, which should make my thoughts on science pretty clear.
On top of all this, when an older white lady rudely cut the line in front of me because the employee wanted to tell me about the owner's podcast, the employee didn't speak up for me. So the line cutter got served before me, even though she was loudly telling her daughter they don't want a dog like mine.
Overall this experience was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've had in a very long time, and I will never go...
