Please read. Whoever and wherever you are, please read this review. I would drive endless miles for Beteena to work on my wedding dress again. I would choose her over anyone. I’m going to try extremely hard to grasp Beteena’s work and knowledge in this rating. I hope it does her justice.

I don’t even know where to begin but I’ll start with my time frame and her willingness to fit me into her schedule. She knew that my dress needed to be altered delicately and knowledgeably, and also urgently. She felt my worry and I’m certain it was the reason she wouldn’t turn me down, as one seamstress already did. My wedding day was on October 19th, 2019. I stepped into Beteena’s shop on October 4th, 2019.

I purchased a Berta gown in the winter on impulse. This dress was very revealing, something that I would have worn years ago if my time was then. I thought it was what I wanted. My family and friends were supportive of the dress but knew it wasn’t the one. I was having second thoughts a few months after purchasing it... which led me to my simplistic and classy Pronovias Ivania gown. I purchased this dress to be shipped from overseas because I finally found it available within my time frame. Crunch time. Sure enough, the dress made it to my doorstep on October 2nd. Nerve racking, yes, but it’s simplicity was worth the shot.

Don’t get me wrong, I could get into the dress, but my arms. My arms that have ALWAYS been the spot on myself that I hate the most brought me to Beteena. I wish I knew the exact terminology that she used to fix my dress but the way she handled my dress with care was so kind. She started with one sleeve, took it off, made it bigger, and then put it back on. She then repeated these steps with the other sleeve.

Beteena is so strategic. She takes her time. Time that we both didn’t have that close to my wedding day but time that she literally created for herself to fix my dress. I swear she had super powers that gave her the ability to add on extra hours in the days. I went to Beteena’s shop I think 6 or 7 times. Little by little she made her adjustments and on the final time back in her shop the dress honestly fit me like a glove. It was purely Beteena’s uncanny powers.

Beteena, I wish I could put you in my pocket and carry you around. You are so sweet and knowledgeable. I thank God all of the time that he brought me to you. Thank you for not turning me away, and working your magic to help me in this urgent, stressful, yet exciting time of need. I love you...

1,000% would recommend you see Beteena for any wedding dress alterations. She is phenomenal!! I bought my wedding dress at a little shop in Charleston South Carolina and not only was I sized incorrectly but when I tried on the dress in the shop, the way they clipped it in the back made me believe it had a V back. After I purchased the dress, and it was delivered to me, I discovered the back was a giant U, and I was devastated as you can imagine. I went to Beteena as a beacon of hope. The shop I purchased the dress from was able to order in extra dress fabric, and she was able to change the back into the beautiful V shape I was expecting, and love. She even took it a step further to add extra beading to the added fabric so that it matches the rest of the dress perfectly. She listens intently and gives you exactly what you ask for (within reason of course). You can't tell any of this was done, and it is now my dream wedding dress. She has so much expertise and is able to guide you properly, adding pads to the bust, snaps to the train, a beautifully done bustle, all things someone with experience would know to do, and things a first time bride doesn't know to ask for.

She is also the absolute sweetest and empathetic person, you can tell she cares about her clients. Through Covid-19 she stayed in contact with me to move my fitting appointments until she was allowed to open back up. My fiancé is Canadian, and she expedited this whole process for me so that when the Canadian/US border opens and I am able to see him again the dress will not be something I will have to worry about.

She is a life saver and I cannot say enough good things. I can't wait to wear this dress on my wedding day! THANK...

I went to Beteena for the alterations on my wedding dress and couldn't have been more pleased with the experience and the final result. Beteena's shop is beautiful, clean, and well organized - you don't feel like you're walking into chaos, as can be the feeling at some other places you might go for alterations. Beteena is an incredibly talented and experienced seamstress, specializing in wedding gowns, and it's apparent right off the bat in the way that she works. I bought my dress online and would consider it to be more on the non-traditional, modern side, so I wanted to make sure I went to someone who was able to work with this type of dress. I can say that Beteena is very well-versed in modern day bridal and put me at ease from the start. She listens well to exactly what you're looking for, does not rush the process, and makes you feel welcome and comfortable from start to finish. One of the more challenging parts of my dress was that the entire top of it is an illusion style, with appliqued flowers covering most of the bodice. However, there were still open parts around the chest area where I wanted more coverage, and Beteena very carefully moved some of the flowers from my tulle sleeves and other places to cover the areas that were a little too sparse, customizing it to my body, and maintaining the integrity of the original dress design. I received SO many amazing compliments on my dress, and I loved it too because it looked and fit perfectly. You are in excellent hands...
