If I could give Matthew 6 stars I could! He worked with my fiancé and I to design my engagement ring and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. We first shopped around at other jewelers to get a sense of what styles I liked and was astounded at the range of quality out there (not that great) paired with very inflated price tags... We went with getting a custom ring to put the style I liked with the center stone we had. Matthew was able to help me refine the style of side stones that would best complement our center stone and ring style I liked with an eye on what also would look good on my hand proportionally. He helped us refine a custom design making sure it was exactly what we envisioned, made a resin model and then made the entire ring from start to finish at his shop. He is a true craftsman and helped us build a ring that was exactly what we had envisioned in a budget that was very reasonable!

Matthew has impeccable integrity and a no-nonsense way of working with you that provides a lot of reassurance in a process and industry which is not exactly known for it's straightforwardness! This might be an unnecessarily vulnerable review for a jewelry store, but my brother recently passed and I wanted to get his gold necklace fixed. I came here and he asked me the story behind the jewelry, and after that he fixed my necklace without charging me. I can’t say if my story is why he didn’t charge me for the fix, and it might be such a small thing, but it means so much to me right now. It’s one of my only pieces of my brother that I have and this store showing kindness and care over a piece of jewelry makes it even more special to me. I’m also grateful that this necklace has been able to bring this kind interaction into my life, I wish there were more people like this. We had all of our rings made at Mathew Thomas Jewelers (my engagement ring, wedding band, and my husband's wedding band) in downtown Colorado Springs. He takes so much pride in the craftsmanship of these pieces. He worked one-on-one with my husband when he designed my engagement ring. They sat together and looked at various designs until my husband picked what he liked. When it was time for us to pick our wedding bands, he sat with us and let us look at each option.
