The pre-party was great! While they were training staff+ getting every last detail squared away they still managed to provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner for over a hundred people at the same time - it was hot+fresh food that was excellent all day long! Very kind+ caring people & my 5 star review stands! I also love that they have a diaper changing station in the men's room since I grew up with a single father 30+ yrs ago-he never had that! It's fantastic that they have what seems little to many, big to me! Also the play place looks fun!
I love Chick-fil-A and although this one is not yet open I am sure they will be just as great as the other stores in town and I feel what's different about Chick-fil-A than other quick service places is that a they make your sandwich fresh and be they treat you like a human being not an order number and they're kind and if this one ends up anything like the people at the mall who took care of me through the death of the dog (in the pic) -she loved her last 2 chicken party's very much! It's a great addition and the southwest side of Colorado Springs will be all the better for it!
Although I believe that their fries are some of the worst fries I've ever had in my life (I liked the novelty -shape- as a kid). I love that you can now pay to upgrade to a salad or a fruit Bowl or even homemade chicken noodle soup or seasonally you can get chicken tortilla soup that is spicy FYI.
The couple times I have had a problem with the exception of when I made a special trip out to 2 separate Chick-fil-A stores that I had done an order through their app at home before shoveling the snow and then I get there and they are closed due to the weather which is why I placed my order at home and then I place the second order at the mall or the one on Garden of the Gods at 9:15 and they had already been closed for 75 minutes. I have written the app feedback department that I feel like the store's need to be able to log out of the app ordering system (in case of weather, plumbing issue, robbery, the shooter in the area, bomb threat, or any of the other horrible things that happen these days - even just a power outage! It's better to have a note saying "store is currently unavailable at this time" or something, rather than having customer's risk the weather that they sent their people home to keep them safe, but didn't let the app know to keep their customers safe from! Without logging out, calling a number to be logged out, so it can be done out of the store if needed. That way someone that just wants to get their order it just takes them into the area of frustrated customer or maybe into danger depending why they can't take orders - rather than saying store closed due unforseen circumstances - keeping both app users and their staff safe! It would of prevented me from so much pain shoveling snow on my side of town where there was a bunch more snow, but no businesses closed! I also said that this store should not have been in the app-stating it was open 6a-10p Mon-Sat - without saying that it opens 3-15-18, was irritating since the app only said "store closed, make the order during normal business hours" so I went because it was normal business hours per the app and Google, so I went to it not knowing it wasn't open because it was in the app before the grand opening! I put the pics on here, but those are the only problems I've had with Chick-fil-A (and/or the app) that have not been fixed to my satisfaction and that's abnormal - what normally happens is that it is fixed in a way I feel goes above and beyond. Should this store not be that way I will certainly come in and edit my review of it, but I have no reason in the decades that I have been a Chick-fil-A customer to believe that this store will not live up to my other...
Read moreReally sucks that I have to even do this but considering how much money I've spent here and to not feel heard as a customer upsets me. And mind you, I didnt get the app till this location was open because I was super excited and knew I would he spending a lot. Since opening this location, I have done 30 app orders. This is not including the times I've paid cash because my phone was dead or whatever the case. I spend a lot here. Tonight I did an order through the app. I decided to do curb side. I got there and asked for my order to be prepared. 5 or so minutes go by and I feel like they forgot (I've been forgotten before a couple times before) and my order on the app was cleared like they had already brought it to me. I waited a couple more minutes and decided to go inside because I saw a bag hanging out by the counter, by where they fill up the soda and ice and did not want my food getting cold. I went in and asked the guy who was cleaning literally next to my bag (to the point that if he wasnt touching it with whatever chemicals, than it was the closest I've seen without touching). He immediately says my name on the bag. I complained about why my food is sitting not by the heat and not brought out and that I needed my drink. Apparently they were waiting for my peach shake because they had a full screen of milkshakes. Which is why they didnt bring my order out yet. Fine, but still, if you guys are waiting minutes on my milkshake, why is my food already bagged up, out of the heat lamps, and has been sitting there for a few minutes? So then I complained and left, I just wanted to go home and eat. When getting in my car, I can see the employees I talked to laugh and stare as I'm getting in my car and then explaining what happened to who I thought was the manager(found out it was the owner Jim Andersen? I think his name was) I decided I didnt want my situation to not be dealt with so I went inside and told him I could tell him what happened. I then explained to him about waiting and being forgotten about before and I didnt like how my food was bagged up for minutes by the cold drink stuff before my milkshake was even ready. He then looked at me like I was crazy and said "theres nothing wrong with food waiting in a bag" I tried to explain to him that as a cook, food gets cold or gross when waiting for minutes by where they get their ice and fill up soda and where ny food was just hanging out. He still looked at me like I was crazy so I said "if you dont understand what I'm saying then as a manager, that is ridiculous." (Wasn't aware he was the owner until after calling) He politely said thank you for coming in but the fact that he brushed me off like I was nothing, really upset me for how much money I've spent here. If not fixed I guess I'll just go to the other locations. I do curbside so my food is fresh as well and am just as important...
Read moreI’d give zero stars if I could. This location absolutely is the worst, period. I came through at 9:30. Got served by 9:45pm. Get my food and go home (5-8 minute’s depending on traffic.) go to eat a fry and realize it’s cold and soggy. Try a few more in hopes that fry just fell in there. Nope. 4-5 more small fries out of a large and all nasty. Okay, well I’m real “hangry” at this point. Let’s try and enjoy a sandwich. Nope couldn’t even take a bite of what appeared to be expired lettuce with dark markings, shriveled up tomatoes. I was upset at no bacon on a $14 meal after tax, but realize I didn’t order bacon at this location. Must have been hungry and tired after work. Well didn’t even take a bite. When I think of eating chick-fil-a, I think high quality food and staff. I brought the entire order back for a refund as they were not answering the phones until I finally got upset and was already driving back. And get told I will not be able to get a refund tonight as it’s too late, well it wasn’t to late to serve me the proper food in the best quality form you can, with the best service providable over any other “fast” chain. Nope, you tell me I don’t get my money back, when I’m already hungry and trying to go elsewhere. Instead insisting I return to your location again for a refund. No, why would I want to do that? Your location absolutely sucks and the employees that were working around the window at the same time, yall suck just as bad as the manager, because y’all the ones who were supposed to provide the proper food in the first place.
Again, I just want my money back, the FOOD was already RETURNED IN FULL. But Aiden and his little ignorant black buddy want to play games. Let your black Buddy know he was being a straight N* as soon as he stood up and acted tough. Boy, you work a minimum wage job, you got a lot to learn, especially learning that you don’t mess with people you don’t know. Act tough and play stupid games, and I promise you some even stupider prizes.
I make 3-4 times what you do, and work half the hours, so sit back and listen to the people that actually make your paycheck possible!
The operator of this store should be ashamed of him/herself. Bad employees, bad managers, terrible food. Public improvement fee?! Sheesh.
Garden of the gods location all day everyday! They have never ever let me leave disappointed. Always a great experience over at Garden, both in friendly service, and quality food the first time. And so, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING TO THE...
