Target — Local services in Colorado Springs

I was robbed inside of target last night 12-9-15 at 7:00 pm! Location Union and Acadmey.

I was in the back of the store towards the electronics but on the side with household goods. No one around me at all. I had my cart on the side so if anyone was to pass they had plenty of room to do so.

I placed my wallet (YES BIG LESSON LEARNED) in the bottom of the cart and had items secured around it. I went into the isle with clear vision of my cart. A man hit my cart startling me and he said sorry and I of course said no problem, he hit my cart on purpose to move my cart out of my vision then removed my wallet from the cart.

I proceeded to shop for about another 10 minutes and as I was making my way up to the check out lanes I noticed it was gone. At that time I said something to an employee and she called for security, Andrew on duty and also the manager, Fabian. Then I saw the guy walking from cosmetics heading for the door.

I stopped him saying ever so nicley. Sir I'm sorry to ask but I had my wallet in the cart and you were the only person I have encounterd in the store and now my wallet is missing by any chance did you see it or did you happen to take it. All while the manager is doing nothing!

He says I don't have your wallet look my pockets are empty. I then notice he does not have his cart so I ask where it is and he say he left it in cosmetics and I ask why, he states he was going to use the bathroom I mentioned there is a bathroom by cosmetics and he then ask me if it's against the law to use a bathroom anywhere. Again the manager is doing nothing.

I also pointed out that his jacket has now been zipped and before it was not, of course no help from any of the employees standing around me.

The magager, Fabian then proceeded to tell the guy he was free to go because he can not search him or hold him for assumption.

I say wait I want to call the cops and the manager says fine do it, I mention I don't have phone and the manager says that's not his problem walks away and tells the guy he is free to go!!! The manager actually walked with the guy to the front door!! He has the nerve to tell me the guy walked all the way to Safeway and then he lost sight of him!!

I'm standing the the middle of the isle watching a guy walk out with all of my finacial belongings along with a few sentimental items right out the door while no one Is helping me. As a target consumer I should be protected inside of the store and instead I was victimized by a thief and the employees.

A nice lady let me use her phone. I wait 3 hours and 3 phone calls later the police never showed up.

Andrew the security guy watched the servillinece and it's clear as day him taking my wallet.

I just moved back to Colorado Springs 3 days ago and not only did my dog spend 24 hours in the ER clinic I had a large amount of money in my wallet, I was occupied with my dogs health that I was never able to make it to the bank to deposit the funds. (This money I had was to help me start over here in this town with supplying food for my new place, paying my Dec. Bills and now paying a very large vet bill). He took that all away along with me now being out of any credit cards.

I begged the guy to please give me my wallet back and he looked me dead in the eye saying he didn't have it.

The manager, Fabian may have even been in on it due to his lack of actions when it came to protecting his store and his customers!!!!

I called target Corp 3 times and no one will do anything to help me.

A police officer finally called me about midnight took a report but basically said I'm out of luck!

Description: African American Male (lighter skin) very bald shinny head even has a little bit of a point, about 5"9, slim build maybe 155 lbs wearing orange sweat pants, a long Broncos puff coat, red shirt and ear buds around his neck!

He is on survillence Andrew made that very clear and even made copies of the it!

Please help if you can but not only holding Fabian responsible but also this thief so he does not...

Well At 5:50 PM today 19 MAR 19 I went into the store to buy some towels, bug killer. Milk and cereal. at 6:05 pm I went up to the cashier #3 . She told me that she was closed so I then went and looked for another cashier due to I don't use the self check out. If I use the self check out then I the customer should get even more off the price. When I go to cash out I use the one that is done buy people not a machine. We know that this will make your prophets bigger but I make a point to just use real the Cashier to checkout. When I didn't see any other Stations open. I went to ask the Cashier at station 3 . I was about 3.5 feet from her back when I asked in a nice normal talking voice. Mam are you gointg to call another cashier? No answer or acknowledgment that she heard me. So I asked again and there was a line of four carts where I had been standing in line. Again no response. So I said to heck with it and put down the 1/2 gal milk , cereal, towels and bug spray on the station right across for her back. An left. Well I went to Safeway down from your store and found everything and some more items while there . i spent a total of $61 there. You lost my sail and I won't stick my head back in there for the next year. I spend my money elsewhere. Have a good day the Store location in question is 5240 N Academy Blvd, Colorado...

I have not been inside a Target store for the past 6 years but today I went into one of their superstores and my question is why does anyone still shop at Walmart. What a wonderful surprise to have a super fast check out with no one in line plus nice cool air conditioning that works and prices for everything I purchased were either the same and oftentimes lower than what I pay for them at Walmart. I also discovered that Target's store brands and house brands are of better quality than Walmart's Great Value brand. While Walmart has been busy raising their prices and blaming tariffs, Target has been lowering their prices. One big huge Plus for me was that of the numerous items I came there for not a single one of them was out of stock. Out of stocks are the norm at Walmart. It's unfortunate that Walmart lost its way and no longer resembles in any way the true discount retailer that Sam Walton started in 1962. Do yourself a favor and shop at Target instead of Walmart. I'm anxious to try their delivery service as I'm sure it will be better than Walmart's which is chronically out of stock and the app...
