I appreciate everything epic does for the military. I appreciate their resorts and the staff has always been kind and helpful. I purchased my K2 mindbenders and all my current setup from them 2 years ago. And it’s been great. But, I took my skis in to be tuned for this coming year and the shop has always treated me well and will always go to them. But, I think this is the last season my Mindbenders will endure and I went to look at the skis and was surprised they had sales still. First, the sales people there are relentless. One would be watching me talk to another and as soon as the other left it was the same thing from the other. I finally told them I was just looking and I found a pair of skis I like. But, I can’t decide if I wanted to wait til next year to pull the trigger. Well, I did some reasearch on the skis and liked them and decided I should pull the trigger, but, I found level 9 sports in Utah selling them for 70$ cheaper and looked and shipping was .20 cents and taxes made the difference 50$. So I said, hmm… Let me see if epic will price match. I went and looked at them and all those sales people from the day before were helping others. I verified they were the exact same dimensions, brand, model, year, etc. They were, and I went and asked the front desk about price matching. She said you need to ask a sales associate. I finally got one and she was the one I spent the most time with the day before. She said we do price match but it can’t be Amazon and they have to have a store front, like evo, we just price matched for someone showing us evos price because there is a store in Denver. I looked it up… Sure enough they had like 10 stores in Utah (like 2 where park city is). I said here they have stores in Utah. She stuttered a bit and said yeah, you have to ask the manager if the store can be out of state. Went to the front desk and they got the manager. I showed her and she said sorry no…. Like don’t be sorry, I have to save money too. Especially like 80$ is what I saved. So I walked out… Well Level 9 delivered the same product... Just a word of business advice. If you price match for stores with a business front (especially one where you have one of your biggest mountains.) Don’t keep adding caveats to that.

I believe this place is called now bicycle village now if I am not mistaken, or at least that is the place I visited. This is what you can say a medium to big store for the amount of inventory it has inside. They have a pretty big selections of bicycles of all types and sizes and they can aldo order the ones they don't have. I purchased an e-bicycle for my son and also got some service for a mountain bic. These business did a decent job as far as showing the different options, answering questions and, or showing information and trying to do the best they could to provide the information you need and make you feel at easy so you can make a decision. I recommend that you do a little research on what you need before you go, because even though they have good intentions, they are busy here and they of course want to keep things moving. You can test the bicycles outside with a sales person. They also provide maintenance and repair. The prices are not outrageous and in the repair I feel it was reasonable. There is another store that specializes in snow sports and they share employees, so it seems that they are part of one business or related businesses. When you enter, the enviroment seems a bit busy but it seems that that is part of the business character, with children all over trying stuff, etc. Soon somebody will ask you if you need help or you will be able to id the employees because many wear shirts with the business logo, etc , but again, you nerd to be prepared and move things alone. Hope you have a good experience and you find the perfect bicycle for you.

Epic Mountain Gear - Mountain Bike - Noah (September)

I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a comprehensive mountain bike bundle from Epic Mountain Gear, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I entered the store, I was met with a warm welcome and a genuine eagerness to assist.

Noah, in particular, stood out with his extensive technical knowledge and passion for mountain biking. He meticulously guided me through the selection process, ensuring that every component of the bundle was perfectly suited to my riding style and technical requirements.

Bike Frame and Suspension System: Noah helped me choose a bike frame constructed from high-grade carbon fiber, known for its lightweight and durability. The full-suspension system, featuring advanced shock absorption technology, was a game-changer. It significantly improved ride quality by absorbing impacts from rough terrain, providing a smoother and more controlled ride.

Braking System: The hydraulic disc brakes Noah recommended offered superior stopping power and modulation compared to traditional rim brakes. This upgrade has been crucial for maintaining control on steep descents and technical trails.

Drivetrain and Gearing: Noah’s expertise shone through when selecting the drivetrain. He suggested a 1x12-speed setup, which simplified gear shifting while providing a wide range of gears for various terrains. The precision and reliability of the components have enhanced my riding efficiency and performance.

Wheels and Tires: The tubeless-ready wheels and high-traction tires Noah recommended have been outstanding. The reduced risk of flats and improved grip on diverse surfaces have given me the confidence to tackle more challenging trails.

Additional Gear: Noah also assisted in selecting essential accessories, including a helmet with MIPS technology for enhanced safety, a GPS navigation system for trail exploration, and high-performance riding apparel. Each item was chosen with careful consideration of my needs and preferences.

What truly set this experience apart was Noah’s dedication to customer satisfaction. He went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable with my choices, offering valuable insights and tips for maintaining my new gear. His friendly demeanor and professional attitude made the entire process enjoyable and stress-free.

Epic Mountain Gear: Snowboarding - Owen (August)

3 weeks before this I had the most incredible shopping experience at Epic Mountain Gear. As someone gearing up for the snowboarding season, I was thrilled to find everything I needed on sale. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. Owen Taber was an excellent consultant who worked with me for more than a hour helping me customize and fit the exact equipment I needed.

The selection of snowboarding gear is simply unmatched. I found top-of-the-line boards, bindings, boots, and all the essential accessories at unbeatable prices. Owen Taber took the time to understand my needs and preferences, ensuring I got the perfect gear for my skill level and style. Their expertise and passion for snow sports was authentic and very genuine.

What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and the personalized service from Owen Taber. Him and his team even helped me with custom boot fitting, making sure I was comfortable and ready to hit the slopes with confidence. The store itself is well-organized, making it easy to find exactly what you’re looking for.

Epic Mountain Gear also offers fantastic deals and promotions, making high-quality gear accessible to everyone. I walked out with everything I needed for the season, feeling excited and well-prepared. If you’re a snowboarding enthusiast or just getting started, I highly recommend Epic Mountain Gear. They have everything you need to make your snowboarding adventures epic! Make sure to ask for Owen Taber, his customer service was awesome!

The state has started giving out E-bike rebates and I decided to check Epic Mountain Gear out on Sunday October 8th around 4-5 pm. My girlfriend and I started looking at bikes and found some we liked. So we went to the bike counter saw the employee there working on a bike and started asking him questions about the bikes which he not only did not give us any information at all. He was extremely condensending, rude and we even asked about the rebate and he literally said to us you can't just walk in here and get a free bike.

We replied we never expected a free bike and no E-bike in the store would of met the rebate cost either way and even if it did tax would still apply. He went on to tell us that the rebate had a minimum price of 2,500 dollars. We were looking at a bike in that price range even though it was a bit above our limit. We most likely would have bought it too however we went to go and look over the rebate terms and conditions again. We saw nothing stating a 2,500 minimum purchase price and instead found it said we would have no minimum purchase price.

We thought maybe we might be missing something that was hidden. So we left went to REI and it was a complete 180 excellent service and they told us all about the rebate and it just confirmed that the employee at Epic Mounain Gear was lying to us. After finding this out we'll not go back or do buisness with them again.

I also want to mention the employee clearly thought he was better than us for absolutely no reason, he clearly hates the rebate program and hates people that are low income. It's clear from his gestures, mannerisms, tone and complete and total hate in his voice. He also seems very much to want to discourage people especially with the E-bike rebate to not buy one.

Just know if you come here with the Colorado E-bike rebate you have no minimum purchase price and don't let the employee's or "employee" tell you otherwise they are just trying to trick, lie and deceive you. WORST SERVICE EVER.

Also if you do buy a bike here with the rebate it might just really annoy that one employee if they so happen to be there. I would highly suggest going else where though REI and The Colorado Bike Shop have been excellent.

This review would be a...
