This place is a joke and they steal money from you. Stay far away. First, they do not put the patient first. All they care about is if they get your insurance money. They do not hesitate to cut you off from treatment if they do not get your insurance money, copay, or co-insurance right away. This interrupts treatment and doesn’t prioritize patient care. They will never reach out to you about these situations until they don’t have their money. They take money out of your account at random times and sometimes double the amount without warning. This makes it impossible to plan for, especially if you are on a strict budget. No bills, emails, or statements are ever sent to the patient. When they finally get reimbursed from your insurance company they never pay you back the money you paid originally. They place the money into a “credit” account that they never tell you about. Basically holding your money while also collecting money from the insurance company. You won’t find about this “credit” account until you call and talk to several people. This is surely illegal. It would make sense that the “credits” you accumulate would go toward future treatment sessions but they do not. There is also false promises and information from the support staff including supervisors, billing, and chart documentation. No one seems to communicate or even know other supervisors. If you have a problem with billing or treatment, They will tell you that they will talk to bosses and supervisors about the issue, however when you speak to the person they said they would talk to ,the other support staff is not aware of a situation or at times not even know who the supervisor you spoke to is. On top of all this the treatment sessions are not taken seriously. I chose to do my sessions online and that was new to me. The clinical counselor that I had allowed the patients to go to the store, smoke on camera, and even drive while on zoom sessions. My counselor also would forget what we talked about in the session before and do the same lesion again the next session. Feedback was hardly given and I got nothing out of the 3 hour sessions. They allow patients who are not serious about recovery to stay, give no feedback, nor pay attention, while they kick out patients who are serious about recovery (me) and attend most of their session due not receiving the copay or co-insurance immediately. They will also tell you about a payment plan however it is not true. Finally, I just wasted 2 months of valuable recovery...
Read moreFor such a well known program my time at Kolmac was extremely disappointing. First off their billing department is a disaster and I just found out they have been billing my credit card for “missed groups” when I never missed the group in the first place. I have not been able to get ahold of someone to sort this out and get my necessary refunds. Secondly the group counselor I had was incapable of controlling and leading the group appropriately. Multiple times extremely inappropriate and upsetting conversations came up in group and they were not redirected. I had to sit and listen for an hour as my group discussed how much they hate people with a mental health disorder I am diagnosed with. It was heartbreaking and awful to have to listen to. The group leader never reached out to me to discuss my hurt even after being asked to. So I have withdrawn from the program. I am extremely disappointed in how this place is run. It came highly regarded and well reviewed and yet I had a horrible experience here. I do not recommend this place for any individual with a dual diagnosis since they seem incapable of handling those cases appropriately. Also keep a sharp eye on your credit card they demand you keep on file because they charged mine multiple times...
Read moreWould HIGHLY recommend exploring treatment options with Kolmac if you’re ready to step into your recovery. ❤️🩹 I completed the 90(ish) day IOP program attending online group sessions three times a week for three hours in addition to individual medical appts/medication management and individual treatment plan planning. I had the incredible pleasure of working with Lisa S as my group counselor. She was professional, compassionate and understanding of the needs of her group members. She maintained a healthy and safe environment for us to all lean into the process at our own pace and found ways to relate to everyone regardless of situation. My medical/medication management was also all handled via telehealth. I felt heard when discussing my apprehension to some medications and was made to feel like the process to improve my health and the decisions being made around it were collaborative. Katelyn was my individual counselor and assisted me with developing my treatment plan. She is an absolute sweetheart and though early in her career was able to provide guidance and encouragement that felt beyond her years. I am actively transitioning to their continuing care program and look forward to seeing how far I can go with such a strong team behind...
