Food was ok but was overshadowed by this business's litany of fees it almost feel like a punishment for deciding to spend money with them they charge a credit card fee of the maximum legal amount of 4% then still tried to charge me a fee even though I switched to my debit card I had to actively tell the employee to remove the charge. ( it's illegal to charge a fee for purchasing with a debit card in MD ) then I was charged a 3% service fee which was baffling. I was charged an extra 3% on my order for just deciding to buy food from here and if I had decided to spend more money the fee would've been greater so if I decided I wanted to bring fiends or buy extra food I'd have to pay up for that. Companies used to give you coupons now they charge you for spending money with them. This was enough to make sure I don't recommend this place to others. And I almost forgot that after all this the cashier still turned the iPad around and asked for a tip. If the service fee isn't going to the servers what's the point of it?? The food was just ok but the biggest impression I got was that this business was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really enjoy DMV Taqueria and order from them often. The chicken tacos, chicken quesadilla, and chicken-loaded fries are my go-tos. The food is flavorful, the menu has great variety, and the service is consistently quick and efficient.
That said, thereās definitely some room for improvement. The chicken tends to have a lot of dark meat and cartilage, and most recently, on Sunday, March 23rd, I found about a 1-inch piece of bone in my tacosāwhich was pretty concerning. Iād love to see more consistency in the chicken quality.
As for the loaded fries, I love the concept and the taste, but the toppings are always piled on top, even when I order extra. It would be so much better if they were layered more evenly, so you get a bit of everything in each bite instead of soggy fries under a heap of toppings.
Despite those things, I still really like this place and will keep coming back. The flavors are great, and I hope they take feedback like this to heartābecause a few small changes would take DMV Taqueria to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me just start by saying that this experience was with the food truck/trailer, not with the physical location. I should also say that the food was very good. I'd be hard pressed to find tacos that are significantly better anywhere else.
The Taqueria food truck visited my work place and I figured I should get something from them. I had read great things here on Google and Yelp. I ordered Biria Tacos since it's not an especially common thing around here.
I ordered at noon, before about half of my coworkers (who ordered sandwiches and quesadillas). I didn't get my food until 1. Long after everyone else got their food. The truck was busy but I wouldn't call it an overwhelming crowd. (Though it's entirely possible that most people just waiting indoors for their order to come up). The woman working in the truck did notice that I had been there for some time and was able to get me what I ordered, thankfully.
Very good food but I'm very frustrated it...
