T.J. Maxx — Local services in Columbia

T. J. Maxx usually has a pretty good selection of things. I generally like to go in to find new clothes for the season for myself or school clothes for my son. Best 15 and a little harder to buy for now, but he always finds something he likes. Shoes are either a hit or miss, but they just get what's sent to them. I definitely love to come in for the home goods and bedding. You cant really beat the prices, and they usually have a decent selection. The home decore is always a wide variety. Things I wouldnt go searching for on my own, but I just fall in love with after seeing. 113 And they do generally have a small selection of furniture, but that's just like office chairs and cute little end tables. We had actually been looking for bedroom furniture for my daughter today but didnt find very much. One other thing that I enjoy about t j maxx is that they usually have a good selection of holiday items, but this year seems to be a little different unfortunately they didnt have very much yet this year. I dont know if they will get more things in or of there is a shortage because of covid. I hope they dont...

This is a PSA for anyone shopping at TJ Maxx. This is an update to my previous review: I wound up with a CC that I never wanted. I asked if a rewards program was available for new customers and proceeded to sign up for what I thought was such a rewards program. After I realized what had happened, I went back to this location the very next day & told them what happened and that I never wanted a CREDIT CARD. They didn't help me at all. The gentleman behind the counter didn't seem to care. He told me if I canceled the CC it would probably mess up my credit, etc etc. YOU USE DECEPTIVE LANGUAGE to get folks to sign up for a CC and it's not right. I am so upset by this, I'm considering...

If I’m shopping for someone other than me and want unquestionably ok options, TJ Maxx is the place (the extra ‘x’ is for xcellence.)

The men’s section is lackluster, but the kids section is much better than Ross next door. Both in quality and quantity.

I don’t buy many women’s clothing (I’m not judging you, Tom, sure it’s for your wife) but the sections look clean and well organized. And it takes up 3/4 of the store.

They have a big pets section, but I have no pets so I’ll let Tom post about that in his review as he seems to shop in that section a lot.

Overall, 4 stars. Add a few dress shirts to the men’s section and I’ll throw in a bonus...
