Waffle House — Restaurant in Columbia

Sucked totally . We waited ten minutes with open booths that was not cleared. Finally got sat. Ordered a sprite and a coffee. Got the sprite and asked to order . The waitress took our order. Sat there for ten more minutes, another waitress asked us what we needed. I politely told her we was waiting on my wife's coffee and our food. She said ok and walked off. Couple minutes later our original waitress brought my wife's coffee and so did the 2 nd waitress brought 2 more. Lol. We sit and wait another 10 -15 minutes later. I then see two different tables of customers get their food that was seated 10 and 20 mins after us. Pissed me off. as we had now waited 35-40 min. I stand up and ask the original waitress if our order was in. She replied no lol. She must of forgot I guess just like my wife's coffee. F..k WAFFLE HOUSE. There was 3 people cooking. Really dysfunctional at that. They was swapping back and forth . Something like get its my turn to cook hashbrowns. And one doing meat and one doing eggs . Then I look and they was all over the place back and forth. Not a system at all . The one that was supposed to be the main cook was lost and wondering around . There was not a leader. 1 waitress talking and not busting the tables. . Ours that was all over doing dishes and putting other orders through. But ours was never even put in. We just had the one of the worst experiences at this Waffle House. Went for a late night dinner, and it took us 2 hours (yes, 2 hours) to get some of the food that we ordered. After asking the folks on staff multiple times about our food, we never got all of our food, and wound up having to leave and tell them to remove those items from our bill. A lot of the reason it took so long is that both the cooks and manager took smoke breaks every 5 minutes (no exaggeration, we kept tabs on this) and this was a moderately busy night with our party and 3 other parties with roughly 3-4 people. Everyone was waiting on their food for ridiculous amounts of time. After all this, we were given disgustingly dirty to go boxes, and had to wait another 10 minutes to get clean ones… absolutely awful service this evening. Will not be returning to this location.

There was a young man there that was trying his best to serve us, but his team was letting him down. Poor guy was so stressed, and you could tell. He was the only reliable person there. Worst experience I’ve EVER had at any restaurant ever. Server Madyson is the worst server I’ve ever seen in my life. Counter was filthy. I sat for 10 minutes before anyone ever acknowledged me. Had to ask for a rag to clean THER counter. Instead of bussing dishes they were just slid to each side of me. Imagine eating with that filth next to you. I ordered all star special. Subbed the grits/hash browns for biscuit and gravy. Biscuit was burned and gravy was almost hard. 5 minutes later bacon comes out. 5 minutes after that the eggs come out which I ordered over medium. They were as runny as a busted water balloon. I specified I wanted a chocolate chip waffle. She never even made it or told the cook to make it. I sat 5-7 minutes and finally had to ask HER where my waffle was. She proceeded to make a half waffle iron waffle with no chocolate chips. She isn’t attentive, doesn’t listen, has ZERO customer service skills. I abandoned the waffle and my meal and her tip and asked for my check to leave. Horrible horrible experience.
