8th and High — Local services in Columbus

I’ve been living at 8th and High for a few months now, and it’s been a great experience overall. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of the city, with easy access to everything from local cafes and restaurants to shopping centers and public transportation. It’s the perfect spot for someone who enjoys being close to the action.

The apartments themselves are modern and stylish. My unit has high ceilings, large windows, and a great layout that maximizes space. The kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances, and the finishes throughout the apartment really give it a premium feel. I’ve had no issues with maintenance – everything works as expected, and the team is responsive and helpful whenever I’ve had questions. The building itself is well-maintained and secure. The lobby area is clean and inviting, and the common spaces, including the fitness center and resident lounge, are always well-kept. One of the highlights for me is the rooftop deck – it’s the perfect spot to unwind after a long day, offering stunning views of the city.

Beth is an amazing property manager, she is like my mom away from home. jackie at the front desk is super kind, always has a smile and responds quickly. CJ is super friendly and can fix ANYTHING, helpful if needed and treats us like family.

Overall, 8th and High is a fantastic place to live if you’re looking for a combination of comfort, convenience, and style. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place...

Lived here for 2 years and will honestly miss my little studio especially the natural lighting that came from my big window. CJ the maintenance guy is the absolute best! Always so quick with fixing anything you needed. Don’t think I’ve ever lived anywhere with such quick and great maintenance. Noble who use to be the property manager there was also the kindest person ever. Knew everyone by name and always greeted you with a smile. Not sure why she left but loved her. They have security who watches the building inside and out during the night which I loved because it made me feel safer. Overall for me downtown can be an unsafe place but I knew I was safe being inside my building. Great gym, everything is new and always super clean loved that about them. The staff overall was extremely nice and quick to answer any questions via email. Only reason I left is because I was tired of living downtown and wanted to try something new especially with it being downtown it is pretty pricy for a studio . If this building was anywhere else but downtown I would have stayed longer. I tried to leave the apartment as clean as possible for them and they gave me back my deposit. Will truly miss...

(The 5-star reviews are all before people actually moved in. People moved in at the end of July 2023, so any reviews before that are from the tours. This should be illegal in my opinion, but I digress.) This building was just not ready for people to move into, and now there is just problem after problem after problem (garages being broken, mail room not set up, accidental towing of cars, individual units not being ready for people to move into, paint and burn marks from construction on the floors/carpets/walls, a general lack of build quality/completion, and many more). The management is nice, but there's just too many issues for them to realistically address. The construction crew dropped the ball big time, and I've heard a number of tenants saying they threatened lawsuits. The building had so much potential, and although it "looks great", it was so poorly built that I highly recommend looking elsewhere. It's not luxury, so please don't get tricked into paying...
