I have been to the place twice. The first experience was awesome. The hair dresser patiently listened to what I had to say and how my hair was supposed to be cut. I showed him a pic of my previous hair cut and he cut exactly like that. But I went there again, on 23rd September, this time my previous barber was not there. So, there was this lady who was supposed to to cut my hair. I told her how I wanted it to be cut and showed her the same pic like I did last time. She said yeah looks good. But she kept looking at the main entrance while saying this. She then proceeded to cut my hair and she messed it up real bad. I pointed it out and told her to consult any other barber . She called one of her colleagues, she said it is a misunderstanding and that my hair looks okay. I pointed out the mistake to her. Then she tried to make my hair even, so it looks presentable. I told her that if my hair grows even a tiny bit longer it will look messed up. To which she said that it would be fine. They blow dried my hair and set it up somehow. Now 3 days later, everyone of my friends pointed out the bad hair cut I have got. My hair looks messed up and I can't set it up. Now I have to live with this haircut for the next 1 month or so, so that it grows enough for another haircut. All I wanted was a faded undercut. Overall- My experience...
Read moreI had the absolute worst experience I have ever had in a barber shop. I gave this place 3 shots, and I was fully disappointed in two of times. I would like to go thorough my most recent experience in detail so that you avoid this place, specially Mark, like the plague.
I don’t have long hairs and I usually ask the barber to cut it down to number 1.5 or 2 depending on the position. When I told him what I want , he did the entire job in 5 MINUTES. EXACTLY 5 minutes. After that, he removed the covers immediately and said anything else? I told him about the many details he missed. Without putting back the cover he quickly went over all of those stuff in 1 minute, like I was torturing him. This guy didn’t even greet me, or anything, and he had a look on his face that I might be a burden to him. He didn’t clean the hairs fallen on my face or neck or anything, and he simply didn’t say goodbye even after I wished him a good new year after the terrible job he did on my head. I have never felt as terrible as here. I don’t understand what is great clips policy on hiring people, but at least don’t hire those who absolutely don’t care about their job, the customers, the place they work at and of course, doesn’t know how to...
Read moreI've never had someone spend so little time cutting my hair before. Hair stylists at a different Great Clips location spend at least 3x the amount of time checking the quality of their work. Each time I got a haircut here the person did one - VERY HASTY - pass.
I'm not stupid. I've gotten plenty of haircuts before. One pass when you're using clippers is not enough. It looks sloppy and unprofessional after only one pass. But, this one lady acted like she was giving me the best haircut ever. It was insulting. I looked like I had mange or something by the time she was done with me.
My hair looked like an absolute nightmare for months because I only had time to go to this particular Great Clips location. It was so bad that I had to buy my own set of clippers to fix the terrible mistakes these people made.
I eventually was so embarrassed by the quality of the haircuts here (and terrified of how bad it would end up each time I went in), that I now go to another location, even though it's more burdensome on my schedule. The other Great Clips does a GREAT job. This location on High St., however, is a nightmare.
I'll...
