I went to this taco bell on Phillips in Toledo, Ohio early morning. I was greeted by the person working drive thru and she was super welcoming. The ratings I have here are literally only due to her. I had just bought a taco in Columbus and it was just how I asked. I tried to get the same taco at a different location and had a hard time when they messed my order up.
A regular soft taco add steak, chicken, jalapenos, tomato, extra lettuce and spicy ranch. The other worker put it on a burrito shell the first time so I wouldn't have issues with it.
At this location I ordered that same taco, I was even ok with the worker saying it had to be rung up as a burrito. That's fine, however she made a burrito and tried to modify it. I had extra stuff on it apparently that was not asked for.
The burrito looked exactly like the other burrito I ordered for my son with lots of cheese and red crunchy chips in it. Same size and all. The greeter at the window told me about the breakfast they have so I drove around to order something off the menu for breakfast to try.
I left and made it home less than 4 mins away from the taco bell. I dish out the tacos from the party box to my other children, keeping in mind everything is wrapped in the same wrapping. I check the heavier tacos for what's on it. I don't like touching all over people food and once I saw chips on the one burrito I passed it to my son. He had no complaints. I eat the breakfast taco first before going to my taco.
Once I went for the one I customized, I saw it looked just like the one I gave to my son already. I asked him about it and he said the one he ate was the exact same. I called taco bell and the lady on the line told me to come get the correct one.
Once I got there, I was greeted by the lady working the drive thru. She went to get the lady I spoke to on the phone and I gave her the burrito back that was given twice to me. Letting them know that was the only thing wrong with my order.
Another lady with an attitude comes up and barks at me. Insisting on the fact that she made the order and yes added extra stuff because it was rung up as a burrito. She said one of the tacos had chicken and steak on it just added to the original burrito. I went on to say that may be where the confusion was. I never ordered that and she laughed before starting an argument. Literally as the other worker explained to her my order. She gave me a big attitude and fussed. I tried holding my composure until she tossed her hand in my face to silence me. I went on to let her know that it was her mess up that landed us back. My day was fine. She goes to tell the workers never to modify anything for anyone again. That it's too much. I told them to modify the self order machine as well then because if it's allowed on the machines then the food needs to be made as ordered and paid for by the customer. I never asked for a burrito. They remake the taco for me but she added two pieces of steak and one piece of chicken. Hardly no jalapenos and a whole lot of spicy ranch. It was more ranch the food on the shell. I tossed and refuse to return there again. Horrible management and I feel sorry for the...
Read moreThis is the worst restaurant or fast food place I've ever been to! I placed an order on the kiosk at 11:15 pm on a Saturday night. My name appeared on the screen as being made. 20 mins go by and it moves to the ready for pick up. My name wasn't called. 10 minutes later, it disappeared like it was picked up. I went to to the counter and told someone what happened. She looked at me, turned around and started making more orders. Someone else comes up with an order, and I tell them the same thing. "Ok I'll look" and went to the back! The food bags were right in front of me and never saw him again. At this point, there are about 15 people waiting for orders. No names were being called and bags of food were just stacking up. Someone behind me asked if they could ask for an order and I told them, well they are making food but aren't giving out orders and just ignoring everyone. The lady who I originally asked to check my name turned around and had the audacity to lie to me about it being her first day there! No way you know how to make every item and work a busy Saturday night, not to mention wearing an old and dirty name tag. I called her out saying exactly just that. Her face dropped, went blank, didn't respond, and turned back, embarrassed. At this point I've been here almost an hour. Only about 5 total names were called since. Everyone was getting angry because you can clearly see all the bags that weren't being given out as well. At that point I just asked for a refund and had to ask 2 different people, yet again ignored. Surprisingly someone else came up, told them what happened and just wanted my money back. She might have been a manager and listened to me. Atleast she was understanding and apologized unlike the rest of the horrible employees. On my way out, a grub hub driver and her younger daughter was coming in. I warned them it was over an hour and I never even got food. She thanked me profusely stating it saved her from waiting and could make multiple other trips. Delivery drivers are given an expected pick up time and drop off. Most people base tips off service, if it's delivered on time, and correct. This place is costing many people money and extra time by not being even...
Read moreJust can't do it with this place any more. Sometimes, I get off work late and all I want to do is fill my stomach with a gelatinous mix of beans, solidified nacho cheese, and a block of sour cream. If I'm coming here, I've given up on everything - I don't care if the dining room is a mess or if there's no plasticware. I don't even care if the food tastes good, I just want something now. The bar is so low and somehow this Taco Bell always finds a way to underwhelm.
This location is always filled to the rafters with delivery drivers. That's just an unfortunate reality of fast food now but this location has made absolutely no attempt to facilitate these contractors. There's no parking, so there's always a 10 car line on High Street, there isn't an expeditor streamlining the ticketing process so you have cooks pumping out food for drivers who haven't even arrived yet, doordash tickets get mixed in with kiosk and mobile order tickets. It's like a sedate, unenthusiastic chaos in there at all times. It feels like a broke man's New York Stock Exchange floor. Drivers just standing at the edge of the kitchen, waving phones and shouting names. Cooks feel like they're ready to snap on the crowd at any moment. One of the weirdest, most particular vibes I've ever encountered. This restaurant is like watching a group of individuals all experience the different stages of grief at different moments, leading to this collective energy of desperation and exhaustion. I have had better experiences standing in an Indianapolis greyhound station at 4am watching a dead man get carted out of the bathroom by EMS. This place will really have you question what the value of $6 is. This place will have you tearing the headphones out of your ears so you can break down your life story with the man next to you so you can both figure out what wrong moves led you to this situation.
I was sitting here honestly thinking "maybe I should have made plain oatmeal at home." This location is getting cleared by horse food. This place makes me consider hunger as a viable alternative. This place makes me jealous of bread lines.
I hate this Taco Bell...
